wjm
Its not just him but the likes of him, Dyer and could easily be replaced by NL rider. 90% of promotions in the PL would snap your hand of for an NL rider that was scoring like Dyer has lately…. A bit naughty to edit out the other 7 names when quoting a post!!It has taken a while for Dyer to show any form - perhaps if the NL Brits were given the same chance a few of them would show the same progress. Presumably Edinburgh are in the 10%, as they soon got shot of him!!
Bash
A good result for the Witches to claim all three points. Thought Pete made a mistake by not replacing Stefan with Matt in heat 12. No disrespect to the way Stefan rode but with the match points in the balance and the way Taylor had ridden up to that point, it could have cost us the extra point for a seven point win. The other thing is that Matt would've been of the same gate he was off in the previous heat.
wjm
A bit naughty to edit out the other 7 names when quoting a post!! It has taken a while for Dyer to show any form - perhaps if the NL Brits were given the same chance a few of them would show the same progress. It isn’t really that naughty, it was a bit daft to mention his name in the first place, even when he was at Edinburgh his scoring was respectable for a first season PL rider. A lot of the NL Brits who bother to ride for clubs up North have been given a chance, very few of them have shown the sort of form Dyer has this season, if they had shown the same sort of progress they would be in 1-7s and the promotions would be delighted to have a progressing Young Brit in their side… Edited September 7, 2012 by wjm
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Point accepted re Dyer to a great extent. Still leaves too many others. I think we all agree that it would be good to see more British youngsters though both in the north and south.
aljack
Thought this was one of the better meetings this season with a fair amount of passing and never knowing the result until the final heat as regards how many points the 2 teams were going to get. As usual Witches weakness at the top end was exposed in heats 13 and 15 and nearly cost the team a point but just scrambled and got all the points in the end. Beats me why Tress was not used in heat 12 to replace Nielsen and just added to several baffling decisions by Simmons why Tress only had 4 rides. Edinburgh certainly gave it their all and look certain to take all 3 points when riding the Witches at home.
Baldyman
I Def would have used Matt more. 2 good passes by Lanham on the outside, would like to him do that more and would seriously consider him for next season. They need to move Taylor and Morten apart.

Personally i think a rider should keep their starting average until they have achieved it, that way more Brits might be included on a 3.00 rather than using a Dane on a 7.00 or Aussie on a 5.00 knowing that a change can be made to the team after the rider has ridden enough matches for a "real" assessment. Much the same a rider has to have a minimum average of 3.00 rather than 1.69 in the case of Jayden O'Malley
montie
Edinburgh certainly gave it their all and look certain to take all 3 points when riding the Witches at home. Now come on do you think that kind of thing goes on up North,........sore ass time at Armadale tonight

Well theres a thought baldyman Lanham for next season lol Yes agree Morten and Taylor together is not working and I would move Taylor back to 2 and move Dak to 3 or 4. Remains to be seen what changes there are for next season but I personally hope there are many built around our young Aussies.
Blue Peter
Quite an entertaining meet last night although the Witches didn't exactly dominate, but nice to bag all the league points. Some good passing at times and thankfully not much in the way of crashes and accidents. I think overall the not quite inspiring performance is pretty reflective of our neither here nor there position in the league at present. After a beautiful sunset it did get a bit nippy - Autumn is clearly here - but at least the back straight toilets didn't honk, for a change
