DutchGrasstrack
Michael Jepsen Jensen has been handed the Vojens wildcard. Mikkel Bech will ride with #17 and Niklas Porsing with #18. Ghostwalker
tough choice as Iversen really is having a great season and would be well worthy of a wild card.
Dave_minall
tough choice as Iversen really is having a great season and would be well worthy of a wild card. Spot on - NKI must be gutted, but odds on he'll qualify outright for next year anyway
5 FURROW
tough choice as Iversen really is having a great season and would be well worthy of a wild card. Tough choice where it was a no brainer NKI should be in top Dane in all 3 leagues national champion world cup winner the only thing I see lacking is he must be a poor arse licker also Mikeal B must be bit put out as well how you pick the same wild card for both Danish GP's I don't know personally I hope MJJ has a mare then the powers that be will have egg on there faces

JT
Farcical really. One of the top riders in the world (league racing wise at least), Danish champion, World Cup winning captain and SGP challenge qualifier. If he was British and accomplished half the things Iversen has done in 2012, he'd easily be nailed on for a full time wild card place, let alone a wild card for one round (at a track he excels on). Are these wild cards given out by the Danish authorities or BSI? If it's the latter then I have a theory. With Hampel, Ward and Vaculik (if he doesn't qualify by right) nailed on for permanent wild cards, I wonder if the appropriate powers fear Iversen coming in as a wild card this year, winning a round (entirely possible), thus making it even harder for them to justify giving a token Brit like Woffinden a place. If it's the authorities giving out these wild cards, then I'm totally baffled. JT. Edited September 7, 2012 by JT
bigcatdiary
How to piss off the National Champion and Captain in one go. Iversen fully deserved a wildcard after the performance he has had, this is very poor judgement on those that made the decision.
iris123
In saying all of this i think we have to look back a few years and there was some controversy when Niels got a wildcard i think for the series and a number of people were saying it should have gone to someone else. The reason suggested to me was that Niels had a very good sponosr(Dansk Metal) and that was the deciding factor. So i guess he can't really be too upset at missing out on this one meeting.I hope he makes it through to the series next year. But it remains to be seen if he will do much better than his previous attempts. And i must make it clear i was and remain a fan of his and wanted him to stay in the series last time as i thought he was making slow progress
g13webb
To me Neils epitomises everything that is good about Speedway. He’s a gentleman, he tries to win every race, he doesn’t endanger other riders and he’s a great ambassador for the sport. He’s a top man. For the Danish authorities to name MJJ for second wild card entry is a travesty. What more could Neils have done to warrant inclusion. He led the team in the SWC, he’s top Danish scorer in all the leagues and on top of that he’s the current Danish Champion. One has to question the sanity of the Danish authorities. . … Pathetic decision…..

Pretty easy to see why ..the bottom line is that puk is never going to anything at the top level so a wildcard is a waste ..on the other hand MJJ could go to the top of t he sport so hence he's been given the chance as in the long term this kind of meeeting going to help him out . PHILIPRISING
Seems like we will have normal vojens weather on Saturday-cloud,sun showers some possibly heavy-might be better in evening. If Phillip Rising is reading this,to save a 200 word epistle from Manchester paul is the draw confirmed at 14.00 hrs local or 17.00 hours ? DRAW will take place in Haderslev at 14.00 local time. This is the one GP when the programme will include the riders in draw order as it is printed just down the road! Mind you, the weather forecast (surprise, surprise) is particularly poor for Friday. The covers will down and practice must be in doubt ... not that any of the riders should need reminding of the way round Vojens.
ciderman
What beats me is why put it on in Vojens in Sept? Everyone knows what the weather there is like, why not hold it here in the summer months and use the warmer countries or indoor facilities at this type of year. Seems like a No brainer to me!
