Shadders
It's by no means certain that Robert will be a Rocket in 2014, but the fact that he seems to be around the place so often is a clue. Tyson Nelson is staying with the Lambert family I gather, so there's another connection. Didn't do Kennett, Danny King & Tai any harm spending their early years racing at Rye House. Of course there's no guarantee he'll flower into the talent we all hope, but he couldn't be in much better hands if he decides to kick off his speedway career at Hoddesdon. Greg
I think Robert will be with a club nl or premier by the end of the season.
SCB
I think Robert will be with a club nl or premier by the end of the season. Must admit, I'm surprised he's not signed for a club even if it;'s to only ride in half a dozen meetings as and when he wants. I'm not up to date with NL rules but can unattached juniors still replace other riders who are not available? Maybe we'll see him ride a few NL meetings that way. Shadders
Agree with Shadders. If there was ever a done deal it is the one that will see him at Rye Alongside Garrity Nelson Lykke And Mellgren in 2014. Nothing to gain from the NL he needs to be riding against his betters to continue his rapid improvement. Many knock Len Silver but there are reasons the likes of Woffinden Sundstrom and Kennett chose Rye House to further their careers and contrary to opinion it has little to do with cash. One season at PL maybe enough but i hope it's two Tai did a couple of years in the PL at Rye House. Didn't do him any harm whatsoever. Worse thing Robert could do is go down the Lewis Bridger route and skip the PL altogether. Like you, I don't think cash will be the motive. Rye look after their favoured riders very well. lynnboy
I have watched Robert with interest for the last two years, and I personally think he is the best talent I have seen on a speedway bike since Michael lee. I witnessed Darcy riding when he was the same age and Robert seems faster, he was practicing at kings Lynn this year before the season started and was out on track with Andreas Jonsson and the Lynn team and he was keeping up with them no problems! My hope is since he's a Norfolk lad he would like to ride for a Norfolk team, Well I can hope can't I
Speedball
Interesting that the Young Stars are to announce an "exciting" signing tomorrow morning. I'm really hoping it's Robert Lambert. Couldn't think of anyone more exciting at NL level.
