Ben91
Rye House applied for special dispensation to use Robert as a Raider this season, would suggest that both the rider and promotion had come to an agreement. Hope he does line up as a Raider next season, learn the track before coming into the Rockets on a 3 point average in 2014 all being well. That being said it was hoped Mark Owen would do the same, he seemed to struggle last year sadly. Hopefully Robert won't have the same trouble. World Speedway's big meetings are raced on the big continental tracks, Robert has probably made the right choice racing competitive meetings abroad against some top opposition rather than poodling round in the Under 15 Championship and winning it at a canter. Reminds me a little of Andy Murray going to learn his tennis in Spain rather than going through the British LTA route. Let's hope Robert becomes a top-4 in the world competitor just like Mr Murray.

iris123
Amazing result. Not sure how anyone can doubt the Lambert's seem to have made the right choice for the lads progress.Just have to hope that he continues to make further progress as we so badly need a top rider
lynnboy
I have seen him ride kings Lynn and he looks so smooth and fast that is frightening to think he is that young, I remember seeing darcy ride his first rides around kings Lynn at the same age when he use to come over for the 125cc championships in Denmark and use to stay with the chapmans, and he use to ride a 500 round Lynn but no where as good as lambert. The boy has the world at his feet if he can stay level headed and stay away from injuries and women lol. I wonder how many promoters have already tried to throw money at him to ride for them when he is 16 (like the football clubs do)
EC Rides Again
I wonder what odds I can get on Nigel Pearson name-checking Robert on Sky before the season is over? For a 14-yr old to be getting results like he did this weekend is remarkable. For Gawd's sake let's try and keep pressure off the lad's shoulders for the next couple of years. Daniel Smith
The pressure on him will unbelievable, especially with so little top class British talent around That's the reason he should continue what he's doing away from the British shores. There is no reason what so ever for him to come and ride the UK. If he gets a job in Sweden & Poland jobs a good un

Glenn
NL racing wouldnt benefit him - PL would as I'm sure he would be 7 pointer at least. Getting experience under 'proper racing condtions in Germany will bring him on much quicker. I remember another lad who appeared to have it all but has not fulfilled potential - Lewis Bridger
Dekker
if he rides in german league he has to start in pl on a 5.
Daniel Smith
if he rides in german league he has to start in pl on a 5. No he doesn't. As a Brit would automatically be a 3 regardless Where on earth did you pull that one from????
SCB
No he doesn't. As a Brit would automatically be a 3 regardless Where on earth did you pull that one from???? Dekker is right, if he rides in the German league he's a 5. The onyl reason Brits come in on a 3 is because they have neve raced in a professional league, if someone races in a professional league before they ride PL they are a 5. Fromafar
Think his mentors have got their head srewed on the right way I'm sure they will know whats best for him.Best of luck to him he looks a talent Personaly I think if he races here he should skip the NL and start in the PL.racing against more expierianced riders. Parsloes 1928 nearly
A birthdate of 5/4/98 makes him ideally placed for a full season of NL racing and then turns 16 basically in time to start PL in 2014. I'd be surprised if - as others have said - it wasn't as a Rye House riider in both cases... But if it was as a Norwich rider how good would THAT be!! Yes - he WOULD be "too good for the NL" but surely not a lot of harm to the confidence to sweep all before him; and after all because of that DOB again only the NL would be available to him (in 2013) as an option.. I have been debating if I have made the right decision to bring my season of watching speedway to an end and after reading about how we feel about this young man I feel I have made the right choice. I have enjoyed parts of the season with great racing but 70-80% of the time I've watched Ash,Richie win by a country mile which for me brings no enjoyment at all. When Stoke brought Simon back was the last straw. I want to see riders of equal quality ride against each other not somebody who whould finish half a lap in front of everyone else. This lad has fantastic talent yet all want him in their side to bang max after max out. Our rules are a joke; rolling averages that rely on races from ages ago to give you a figure that is out dated and farcical. We have this all through the leagues because teams are force to track riders because of false average figures. Speedway for me is in a big mess and to be honest I cannot see it getting out of it, no speedway for me next year I fear. Why cannot we have riders of equal standard riding against each other? I don't see why he can't race for a Saturday or weekday track in the NL, and race in Germany on the Sunday via an overnight ferry. His age may mean he would be limited to a Saturday track with school being a consideration. Of course it depends very much on the make up of the NL in 2013. If rumours I've heard are true he will have less tracks to choose from. If he decides to race in both Britain and Germany that would rule out Mildenhall and Buxton. I hope he doesn't go down the Lewis Bridger route and miss out the PL and go straight into the EL Edited September 14, 2012 by Shadders
SCB
I hope he doesn't go down the Lewis Bridger route and miss out the PL and go straight into the ELWhy? Sayfutdinov went straight into the Polish Extra League at 16. If you're good enough then ride at the highest level you can. Too many Brits are happy to hang around in the NL and the PL as it is. He's showing in Germany he has the talent and whatever else is needed to beat EL riders - Schlein and Kennett this weekend - If he can beat them now, in 18 months time when he can ride EL he'll be averaging 8! Maybe I have just heaped a great deal of presure on the lad but he seems to be thriving off it at the moment. All I know is that right now I can't wait to see him race, at any level! iris123
Know what you mean scb.Ok i have already seen him this season, but i am really looking forward to the german U21 final in a couple of weeks where i think Robert will be riding. At least when i talked to his parents some months ago they said he could qualify, and i think from results he must be one of,if notthe best scoring north german U21 rider. So,bring it on If you wanna get a plane over to hamburg,i'll pick you up at the airport and take you to the meeting
