semion
Lewis Kerr rides at reserve tonight at Belle Vue. I wonder if he will get a run in the side or will Buster look to bring yet another signing. All credit to Rob & Buster each time they get knocked down they keep bouncing back with another rider. I Look at some Clubs and they struggle for weeks and weeks to bring someone in, yet Buster gets on with it, no moaning, just brings in the next one. stevebrum
Porsing has a suspected broken wrist now. Kings Lynn's bad luck continues. Feel sorry for you's. we had a year like that last year so know how it feels not knowing what your lineup will be from one week to the next It really is a hard luck season for the Stars. Gotta feel for them and their fans as on paper they have looked top 4 material.

SCB
Whats the record for most permanent/temporary riders in a season? Waggy must have used close to 30 in one of his seasons at Lynn/Oxford.

semion
Without doubt Rory has been a let down. Its a amazing though that some people are calling for his head. 1. Who would you get in at this lte stage to replace him, who would be better ? 2. Has Rory become a poor rider overnight ? 3. Could it be other reasons for his dip in form ? 4. Would you want Rory in next years team on a 6 point average ?

Star Fever
Wasn't Rory diagnosed with a long term debilitating condition some little while ago?! Maybe that's part of the cause. Maybe thats it yes, but whatever it is its not helping him or Lynn at the moment. If hes on a 6pt average for next year that sounds great but not if he only gets 3 or 4pts a meeting. We can get a 3/4 pointer to do that! Hopefully he'll turn things round and soon. Edited July 23, 2013 by Star Fever
foreverblue
I think Rory is just inconsistant which is why he has never made it to the top. I had a discussion once with a coventry fan who reckoned he would have been as good as Leigh Adams if he hadn't had so many injuries!!

stevebrum
Apart from his one great season at BV, yes. Agreed. The genuine break through many said would happen was a one season wonder.
em1500uk
Wasn't Rory diagnosed with a long term debilitating condition some little while ago?! Maybe that's part of the cause. You mean the Epstein Barr virus that he got diagnosed with last year? (see here) I had wondered if that was part of his problems, what with depression and so on being connected to it. He will be receiving a lot of stick right now from several corners (and it's no real surprise to be fair!) but I really don't think that he can become a bad rider overnight and that there is something seriously wrong somewhere along the lines and that there is more to all of this than meets the eye. I like Rory. He's a racer and he can be brilliant. He has the ability, but where it's gone to right now, I haven't got a clue!

Rory is doing what Rory has always done. Good spell, injury, bad spell, slowly get it back, ride well, get injured. He's a confidence rider who struggles to come back from injury. The one season he avoided injury (until about September) he averaged nearly 9 for BV.
g13webb
The fact that in the recent SWC, his own country and fellow Aussies, thought he was that bad, they would rather pick someone who rides in the PL then going with Rory. There isn't a bigger snub then that. I hear he's having a few problems as well as machinery issues, but these need to be sorted pronto. You can't expect the supporters to keep paying good money to watch someone, who quite frankly, is second rate. I hate to think what he's cost the club, that's counting the points as well as the money.....
