King's Lynn Stars 2013

Dont shoot the messenger. It was there in black n white

That seals it then, never thought of that so thanks for reminder. BTW I think Kings Lynn are the best team in the EL and I'll be attending every meeting at Saddlebow Road in 2013. There, it's in black and white so must be true!

Reading this weeks Star it seems its not just NKI who wont ride for Peterboorugh, Now Troy is stating he wont go back there and he will ride for whom he wants to. What Is Ricky Frost doing to these riders ?

Telling them there's a procedure to follow and he's holding them to it despite their already done (against rules) deals with other teams maybe.

I am sure Buster will be pleased to see you. I hope you enjoy your night out watching a decent team on a well prepared track. Or were you in fact not telling the truth ? Would that mean your word could not be trusted? and that relly in fact you an untrustyworth person ?

I seem to remember Darcy Ward didnt want to go to Peterborough either, despite being offered more than what was on offer from Ford. Seems a bit of a re-occurring theme developing here.

Are you sure about that?

You're right I shouldn't lie, I'll not be there in 2013. I wouldn't regularly attend Kings Lynn if it was the last track on earth.

I can't comment on Darcy Ward as I wasn't involved in the negotiations. I assume that you were or is that another of those things that you read?

So bitter!

I'm not a huge fan of your club or some of the foul mouthed supporters it brings to Lynn on derby day but if I lived nearer to the EoES I'd attend regularly.

Likewise Baggy, if there are any better tracks to watch speedway than Saddlebow and Alwarton, then i have not seen them. Right back to the days of Andy Hines, Nigel Flatman, Brian and Ian Clark I have always enjoyed my trips over to the home of the bottom team in Championship.

I seem to remember, back in 2010, a club's web-site stating that PL is the way to go, so much so that they were included in the PL KO Cup draw for 2011.

Quite agree semion. Even as a Swindon fan i absolutely love watching speedway at Alwarton and Lynn. Two superb racing tracks. Having said that, i have seen some great racing on smaller tracks such as Plymouth and Monmore Green.

All clubs have foul mouthed fans. I don't doubt that you've encountered Panthers fans who let themselves down but to think that Kings Lynn or any other team don't have their fair share is somewhat naive, although I doubt that you are!

the reason for this, if i think back to a long van trip from Edinburgh, was because he didn't want Peterborough as a home track for his step up to EL, he wanted a different shape i think

That statement says so much about you. You not so much a speedway fan, more of a Panthers Preacher..

When Jonathan Chapman announced the Stars line-up last week, it was confirmation of a lot of things, non more so then Lynn was on the ball.

But more then that, is showed the asset system is not that important when compared with the riders wishes to ride where they are happy. Other supporters will obviously say it was money talking, but common sense will tell you otherwise. No rider would sign the first deal offered to him unless he was completely satisfied and happy with everything.

It appears that riders want to ride for the Lynn Stars. Be it the promoters, be it the supporters, be it the racetrack, be it the location, or be it the Wednesday nights. For whatever the reason, it specks volumes for the club that riders were prepared to sign at the first chance, instead of trying to be allocated elsewhere for a better deal.

The situation now is that other promoters are pulling out all the stops trying to compete with what the Lynn promoters have already done. But probably their task is somewhat harder, because it now appears that some the riders are not all that keen to ride some tracks. It makes wonder why….

So I would like to congratulate the Lynn Promoters, on doing a brilliant job…

KL may be the first to announce but you would be naive to think that the other promoters haven't sorted their teams out - especially when you are using loaned riders! If, say, Swindon had plans for Steady or Mads, then you would be in the same position as you are with PUK.

So no one is pulling out any stops to compete - its just your loaned riders are not in their parent club's plans

Having said that, KL look to have put together a really handy team of cast-offs who should make the play offs
