Makes much more sense; I checked it originally when I first heard it was a double header and was still listed as 7pm, can't remember where. Much more sensible :approve:

I remember a 7pm double header meeting at Rye House finishing just before 11pm.

Nielson ,Great guest for Garrity ..this meeting will depend on the scoring of the respective reserves,,Stark is in good form and will likely get 7 rides..Hopefully promising rookie Coles can get amongst the points

Which is a wee bit late for a meeting to finish for both fans and riders, perhaps more so for riders who then have to pack up, shower, drive home etc ;)

Is there anyone going to this meeting who would be able to text updates to the updates site? If so, could you please either leave a message here or send me an email or pm.

Thanks

A paid the max for guest Stephan Nielson,,But Ben Morley was denied a full 15 point max by a broken primary chain on the last lap of heat 15 ,,,,,,dead unlucky..Some promising rides from rookie Connor Coles ,,,,,,Good back up from James Sarjeant,,and signs of a return to form of Shane Hazelden, who has been short of racing recently,,A battling display from the Raiders to see of the challenge of the Islanders in an entertaining encounter...Result 50-40...

Very impressed with young Connor, looks a real prospect. Luke Chessell could be another one if he can stay on his bike. Some heart in the mouth moments, especially Connor Coles who went into bend 3 of heat 12 with far too much speed, but managed to hold off the chasing Islanders. Ride of the night over the 30 races.

Brilliant guest in Stefan Nielsen. I make that 11 races unbeaten in the NL at Rye House. How on earth did he manage to stay upright in one heat (13?) when it looked like he was destined for the second bend fence?

Hope Ben is ok after his fall. I was by the 4th bend, but people around me said he was up and ok.

First time I've stayed for an entire NL meeting in ages and very pleased that I did. Not that I had much choice as i returned to my car after the meeting to find i'd been blocked in!

Definitely contemplating the next Raiders home meeting if I can persuade the other half.

Gutted for young Morley. On the way to a faultless 15 pointer only for the chain to go on the very last lap - probably wiping out all of his earnings for the night with it!

Those are the ups and downs of the sport, I guess.

Impressed with young Connor Coles. He seemed to have something about him in his first 3 rides, but a little something was lacking. Whatever was lacking, he certainly found it towards the end with 2 very impressive paid wins. Will be interesting to see how he develops.

Everytime I see him, James Sargeant is involved in some sort of scuffle. I am sure that is just a coincidence though.

Must congratulate Mr. Silver on the track surface. Did well to prepare it for 30 heats. Passing was still possible in heat 13 of the NL match, as Nielsen showed by passing Warwick. Seen several double headers (at numerous venues) over the years, and the NL match generally has a blue groove for the least half a dozen heats (if not more!) so was good to see the track was fit for racing in both matches.

Connor Coles is the son of ex Exeter top rider Micheal Coles who in turn was the son of the legendary Bob Coles ..So plenty of speedway blood in the family, Hopefully with the help of dad he will progress to make a Rocket in the future he certainly has plenty of dash about him...

I was impressed with Connor at Monmore on Tuesday, dont know if he was riding to orders, but he was riding steadily enough that night.
