Shadders
Looks like Theo Pijper is saving his best for Sunday!
Lioness
Looks like an impressive performance all round from the Scorpions lads - 10+1, 13+1, 10, 9+2 and 8+1...... every Scorpion outscoring his average on an away track renowned as being difficult/technical. That has to be impressive
IronScorpion
ironscorp if the tracks as wet as the times suggest the normal set ups edin would use normally will be of no use, it levels the playing field. Are you trying to tell me that Edinburgh HAVE NOT ridden at home on a wet track this year! They must be the only ones to have ridden in good/best conditions then to have(had) a full house of points.
Paulco
Quick question . Wonder who the last club was to lose two home meetings in the same night ?
IronScorpion
Choice of guest/agents has hampered all teams this year (barring when Howe & Auty have guested this year)
lucifer sam
Fantastic performance by Scunny   All the best Rob Quick question . Theory on the way to being proved right Dekker, After Heat 9 ...... Monarchs 37 Bears
lucifer sam
looks like scunny were simply the best on the night for whatever reason. Maybe because they ARE the better team. All the best Rob
Dekker
Maybe because they ARE the better team. On the night yes scunny dealt with conditions far better, full 1 to 7's head to head, hmmmmmm would be interesting. Theory on the way to being proved right Dekker, After Heat 9 ...... Monarchs 37 Bears 18 redcar riding like they dont want to be there..... proves nothing other than monarchs have had 15 practice races. Are you trying to tell me that Edinburgh HAVE NOT ridden at home on a wet track this year! They must be the only ones to have ridden in good/best conditions then to have(had) a full house of points. Not when the races are consistently 5 secs slower no. Edited August 31, 2012 by Dekker
lucifer sam
On the night yes, full 1 to 7 head to head, hmmmmmm Yep, I see what you mean, with David Howe and Nick Morris, Scunny would have won by 30. Cj69
Glad thats over. Yes racing was pretty much NIL but fair play to Scorpions faster out the gate and attacked the track, deserved winners and maybe shud have been by more. Redcar well less said the better, there in the right place in the table. Just glad to get another two meetings out the way and we've moved up to 6th, can we stay there i doubt it but stranger things have happened. duffyscouse
Regardless of the missing riders, notably Cook, Howe and Morris- a stunning away win for the mighty Scorps - Sheffield would have loved that one - power shift in the midlands/lower Yorks area perhaps about there!
cyclone
No excuses, the very impressive quintet of regular Scorpions were far better on the night, When you add in Nick Morris, I would not be surprised if Scunny end up 2012 PL Champs after the Play-Offs.

June01
Could someone who was at this meeting post the result of heat 12 of the Scunthorpe meeting from a programme or Speedway Star please? The Edinburgh websites disagree about which reserve was in for the Scorpions.

Taken from the News section..match report.. page 15.;Heat 12. result; Jorgensen. Pijper. Irving. Helfer . Hope that answers your question? Taken from the News section..match report.. page 15.; Heat 12. result; Jorgensen. Pijper. Irving. Helfer . Hope that answers your question? I did see that, but I'm not sure if Scunthorpe took their results from the Edinburgh website. It's just the Chatzone makes errors so infrequently, whereas I've seen a few on Edinburgh Monarchs. It's also more likely you'd not notice a reserve change than see one that didn't happen, if that makes sense? But thank you. Looks like, in the absence of anything concrete, I'll have to go with that.
