Mdl Rider's Final --leicester Fri Sept 28th

The full 16 rider line up for the first ever MDLRC at Leicester on the 28/9/12 has now been finalised. The draw will take place this Sunday during the interval of the Leicester v Workington PL meeting this where Laurence Rogers and Richard Ward will pull out the names on the centre green.

 

We are also delighted to announce that 1991 World Champion, Jan O Pedersen will be guest of honour for the meeting, presenting the trophies and will also be on hand to meet the fans prior to the meeting where photo opportunities will be available.

 

 

The confirmed riders are....

Belle Vue: Max Clegg & Michael Neale

Long Eaton: Lee Geary & Liam Rumsey

Mercia: Dan Greenwood & Martin Knuckey

Milton Keynes: Conor Dwyer & Ollie Greenwood

Scunthorpe: Danny Phillips & Tommy Fenwick

Sheffield: Andy Braithwaite & Tom Woolley

Stoke: Shaun Tedham & (Andy Mellish) ---now Martin Wrathall

Wildcards: Chris Widman (Long Eaton) & Lee Springthorpe (Halifax)

Reserves: David Holt (Belle Vue) , Adam Kirby (Scunthorpe)

 

 

There are 6 race sponsorships remaining at £35. The riders receive no points or travel money but with all races sponsored each would receive £50 voucher to be used on the Cov-Comp spares van to cover fuel .oil etc

Reserves now named and will ride in Leicester body colours for the night : David Holt (Belle Vue) and Adam Kirby (Scunthorpe)

 

We are now aiming to raise sufficient sponsorship to provide each rider with his fuel for the night ....so keep the sponsorship coming in please!!

 

On the night our guest of honour Jan O Pedersen will be available before the meeting for photos on a bike with a minimum £1 charged which will be donated to the Rico fund
