IainB
Reading between the lines sounds to me that maybe Matt Ford has used the meetings as a deal clincher to get KK over to ride for the Pirates this season. Looks that way doesn't it... with his original No... and then subsequent Yes Nobody's come on to support the testimonial yet... not even Poole fans! If he does get one, he should be made to stage it at Birmingham Edited August 30, 2012 by iainb
pugwash
It isn't mandratory to attend, you could have a testimonial for Ian Brady if you wanted. It's a free country despite what some poster think. Shouldn't be able to do this, shouldn't be able to do that bullsh1t. Myself I've no problem with it. Love the guy. There'll be a good turnout, without the above sour faces in attendance. And, if you're gonna knock Poole then try to spell it correctly, please. Terry Tibbs
Testimonials talk to me! I am pleased to confirm that Terry Tibbs Motors (Europe) Limited are deep in conversation with Mr Kasprzak's UK Agent Mr Gordon Dayo with regards to the outsourcing of the promotion of this event to my specialist team of speedway consultants! Leading the team will be Pav Pavitt, he will leave no stone unturned to bring the very best riders to the meeting, What Pav Pavitt doesn't know about speedway racing to you could fit onto the back of Johnny C's hand, talking of Johnny C his dad Busty has kindly donated a lovely log cabin as a prize in the raffle! Pav Pavitt is currently deep in negotiation with the first rider to be named in this prestigious in fact I should say auspicious event another Krzysztof but one who was prepared to live in a caravan to earn his crust yes Mr Stojanowski is coming back for one night only! Only Pav Pavitt could pull off a deal like this, the proprietor of Pav Pavitt's Premium Phone Line and late night entertainment services, Pav Pavitt has negotiated deals more times than Matthew Ford has tinted his fringe. Supporting Pav Pavitt will be the legendary Main Man Rogers he's great with the kids and will be dressing as Super Ted, he used to keep the outfit in Norfolk and very often dressed in it before he read Johnny C a bedtime story. Main Man Rogers is a man greatly admired in the speedway world and his array of silverware will be on display in a cabinet next to the turnstiles on the day Lord Bryn Williams will be responsible for all press and publicity surrounding the event, he will also be judging the best dressed male on the day and the winner will be driven round the track by Lord Bryn Williams' loyal chauffeur Big Chris Jimmy Lynch will be at the helm of negotiating with sponsors and riders for the event, Jimmy loves a little oil massage from Gemini pre-meeting, she'll be stroking his moustache as she loves to hear him purr in her ear. Last but not means least my star boy and chief valeter Christopher Mills will be responsible for co-ordinations of the riders on the night, he will also be riding tandem with Henning Loof dressed in only his underpants My great friend One Dart Pearson has promised he will be bringing along some his greatest friends in sport on the evening, with Co Stompe, Rollerball Rocco and Konrad Bartelski already confirmed. The deals almost done Gordon Dayo just has to sign the contract, it's a great deal for Kasprzak, even he'll show up for this one, especially when he finds out that his personal chiropractor will be flown in for the evening and will be taken out shopping in the dolphin centre by Steven Shovlar. Come on Dayo sign that contract, there's £15000 in it for Kasprzak you drive a hard bargain Dayo, I might have to bring my chief negotiator Nikko Day (no relation) in on this matter ok ok Dayo it's £7500 plus a two night stay in Stojanowski's caravan in the IOW car park I will even throw in a complimentary nights viewing of Northern Lights channel 911 which is part of Pav Pavitt's empire, but you'll have to watch it on Lord Bryn Williams' old black n white TV. What do you say Gordon Dayo, tickle my chin, throw in an oil massage and a wiggly woo with those start line girls from Peterborough and Terry Tibbs will give you 50p sponsorship for Kasprzak event and that's my final offer Thank good night much love! glasgowmicktiger
What about 20 years service to british speedway? now that should be celebrated.
stevebrum
He mite be given one...but will he turn up??? Who can say if he will have a bad back on that day (if there is a Polish meeting then thats a given). Probably the most undeserving rider to have a testimonial in the UK. A) Hope he applies for one and is turned down If in the saddest of news he is granted one people vote with their feet. Or lack of them. BigRackBandit
In the last 10 year how many riders have had testimonials and actually deserved them? Just about none. Which is impressive as there must be 5 or 6 testimonials a season. edit > Mathew Weathers, he actually did 10 years at Edinburgh. Michal Makovsky. Testimonials should be given after 10 years consecutively at a club..not 10 years spread over several clubs when the rider decides to turn up. It's a sort of device that ensures that it's virtually impossible for a rider to stay at a club for more than 3 years, nevermind 10.Anyway if the Pirates want to give KK a testimonial what's it got to do with anyone else. As i said before it's not mandatory to attend, if you want to then I'm sure you'll be welcome if not keep your money in your pocket. One thing is for certain that there will be a bigger crowd at Wimborne Rd for a KK testi that at any other EL or PL meeting that week.
speedy den boy
Have to say KK doesnt conduct himself too well in public but as you will see from this clip he was in the wrong place at the wrong time, take a look at this clip,i dont think it was kk;s fault and the young fans dad should have known better then to let off foul mouth words in front of the youngster, thats just not on whatever the reason.. I believe that they get agreed at the Annual Conference. Not sure of many that have been refused over the years though... If anyone deserves a benefit at Poole it should be Middlo, especially given the circumstances surrounding his original testimonial in the early 80's.

moomin man 76
The only Polish rider, in my opinion, who has deserved a testimonial for services to British Speedway was Adam Skornicki. Never the most talented rider, but someone who showed commitment to whichever British club he was contracted to. Unfortunately, the same cannot be applied to Krzysztof Kasprzak. Testimonial meetings should not simply be awarded to those who have happened to intermittently appeared in British racing over a ten year period.
Sandie
Think chris harris is most deserving after all his years in british speedway, gps, world cups, british finals. Next year will (hopefully) be his 9th year with same club. Hes always willing to guest at short notice for other teams. Coventry fans would give him testimonial for his 2010 play off efforts alone. When you say 9 years with same club - I assume you mean 'owned'. As he did have a year out and went to belle Vue!!! Still think he will be deserving of a testimonial though. And whilst I think a rider should be rewarded for loyal service, what about those who had no choice!? Rory is due a testimonial this year / next year but has moved around a little. Edinburgh to Coventry was obviously a move into the Elite, but it certainly wasn't his choice to move away from Coventry when Hans Anderson was brought in. Surely loyalty to the British League should be recognised as well.
