Panthers 2013 Thread

I hope Rick signs Jonasson for next year, The guy is awesome.

when has he been awesome for panthers ??? he's a waste of space and money like MJJ

panthers need 7 riders who turn up and can be arsed ,not supposedly global superstars who have little interest in england and bleeding promoters dry in the pursuit of a play off place

Riders such as those need to be outlawed. We talk of small crowds and viability of the sport.. How are we expected to get the crowds back when there are riders milking it for all they can get and give little back in return.

Completely disagree, Michael and Tomas are global superstars and the UK lacks star power.

In terms of a team with a 42.00 points limit

1. Kenneth Bjerre (8.18) - Bargain average and a top rider.

2. Ryan Fisher (5.43) - A very good rider with knowledge of the UK tracks

3. Michael Jepsen Jensen - (6.54) - Low average for a rider of his ability

4. Leon Madsen (6.10) - Fantastic rider and will fit in well with the Danish team

5. Linus Sundstrom (7.87) - Matured brilliantly and ready for the Number 1 jacket

6. Mikkel Bech Jensen (4.00) - Stekkers seems to know him well as he is always liking his facebook posts and he is friends with Rick on facebook.

7. Robin Aspergren (3.86) - Good on away tracks

Peterborough Panthers star Kenneth Bjerre has seen his hopes of remaining a World Championship rider dashed.

Bjerre’s four-year stay on the sport’s biggest stage has come to an end after he was overlooked for a wildcard spot in the 2013 series.

The four available places were handed to Polish star Jarek Hampel, Slovakian talent Martin Vaculik, Australian ace Darcy Ward and British rider Tai Woffinden.

Bjerre (28) was bottom of the World Championship standings when his 2012 campaign was cut short by a broken leg suffered while riding for Panthers in August.

Just realised Rene Bach is so good looking.

I didn't follow speedway when I was young but is it true that Rene Bach was like Darcy Ward before his injury?

As a manager of an automated food company you will have been around speedway long enough to see Bach when he started.

However the simple answer to the question is no.

Poole surely won't go top heavy again so Holder is available and he still has a house in P'boro so let's go with this

1. Chris Holder - 9.67

2. Norbert Kosciuch - 5.50

3. Michael Jepsen Jensen - 6.54

4. Mikkel Bech Jensen - 4.00

5. Linus Sundstrom - 7.87

6. Patrick Hougaard - 4.89

7. Richard Lawson - 3.38

41.85

You should sign Michael Jepsen Jensen next season. So you can run rider replacement for the 15 or so meetings he will miss.

Such a great commitment to the UK. :t:

Michael Jepsen Jensen rode 21 out of 28 Elite League meetings

He missed 3 fixtures due to 2 U21 rounds and a Swedish League Play-off due to the EL fixture being re-arrange so Swedish League takes priority

He missed both Swindon and Poole away with a virus.

He missed Coventry home due to a injury sustained in Poland on the Sunday.

He also missed Lakeside home due to a back injury

So all in all, He missed 4 matches due to a virus/injury and he rode through a lot of meetings while his hayfever was pretty bad so this misconception that he isn't committed is silly.

For example, Tai Woffinden only rode in 19 meetings this season and he had no U21 commitments, Freddie Lindgren rode in 26 EL meetings and that's only 2 more meetings than Michael if you exclude the U21 rounds and the Swedish league fixture.

Back to the topic, I heard a rumour that we are closing down and won't be running next year and Iversen has been sold to Lynn for 24k.
