g13webb
I’m trying desperately hard to understand the logic and reasons behind Peterborough’s action this off-season, and for the life of me, I cannot see any good, of what has gone on. Sure, I know they have the assets that other clubs want, but the way our sport is being depicted is nothing short then scandalous. There are not many teams left, and the supporters are diminishing by the day, yet we have the Panthers promotions hell bent on creating as much trouble as possible and for what?…. What are they gaining through this?… All they have done is drag this sport further into the gutter then it already is, when at a time we want Inspiration; Excitement, Expectation. What a pity the BSPA haven’t the balls to control these issues when they occur. Probably then, we wouldn’t be looked at, as such a Mickey Mouse Sport that is forever shooting itself in the foot…. P……d off….. You bet !!!!!!!!!!
Crump99
Peterborough certainly know how to antagonise and annoy people, there won't be any love lost between them and Swindon or Kings Lynn, that obviously doesn't worry them but may give some an extra incentive to beat them. This type of publicity would be music to the ears of Cyril Crane.

What you actually mean is you wish the BSPA would make Peterborough loan you their asset for a third year despite them wishing to sell him as per the regulation.
PHILIPRISING
you have got it spot on some people on here just rant on with out thinking .If the two clubs are happy with a loan deal job done if not and its for a third season you have to purchase. they still wont get it though READ comments under the Asset System Flawed thread on Speedway News and Discussions and you might get it... why should anyone purchase something from someone who doesn't have the right to sell?

You’re like a broken record, Such a facetious poster that always jumps to the wrong conclusion, or is it just me…….. What I actually mean is: it’s a pity the BSPA haven’t the strength to govern the sport, in a way that was consistent to all teams. Then, If that meant Lynn having to purchase NKI then so be it. But lets do it right and have rules to govern the sport in a correct and proper way, and not allow fiascos like this to ruin it. So in future, don’t tell me ‘what I mean ‘ .............. semion
Maybe Ricky Frost is going for a job share at number one. Between NKI, Bjerre, Anderson, Batcholer, and Sullivan He doesnt seem keen to let any of them go.

BluPanther
The first rule in respect of taking a rider on loan, is to ask permission of the parent club concerned to approach that rider. If that one simple thing cant be abided by, it's little wonder chaos and bickering follows.
Panthers89
Can we not forget the real losers out of all these shenanigans..... Belle Vue Aces who are still waiting to see the riders they can sign from the other clubs. Please bare with us Belle Vue.
semion
That is the sad fall out. I remember back when a visit from Aces was a not to be missed meeting of the season. Now its the one where you ask yourself, can I really be assed ?

The 'fiasco' is surely the incident that started it all in the first place - the illegal approach. Without that this may well have been sorted by now. How does the BSPA sort that? wealdstone
A good plan would be for Peterborough to buy every available rider then loan them out for nothing to all the rest. As an added bonus they could pay them as well..

DC2
If Boro sign Dakota North will they request a 2012 EL average of 3.47 from 11 matches or insist on his PL conversion (like Fisher) & take 3.89!!!!!

Vincent Blachshadow
I think I can see a pattern here. If you're prepared to put a bit of your own money into the sport by transferring riders and build up your asset base then go ahead and do it. If you say you're running speedway as a 'business' and will only pay out what you get in then you can do as you please, not bother having assets (despite Panthers being told to 'build up a suitable asset base' only a few years ago), tap up other club's assets and have them ride for you on your terms despite the existence of regulations to the contrary.
