Panthers 2013 Thread

Recommended Posts

The question really is DID Puk ACTUALLY sign such a contract ? If he didn't we are talking about a hypothetical situation. If he did then its difficult to discuss without knowing exactly what it says but I very much doubt, for a number of reasons that the sort of contract you mention actually exists, but of course we don't know so we can only speculate. As far as I know most riders sign a fairly standard BSPA contract.

EDIT: On a different point. what's happening to Ryan Sullivan ? I thought he moved back to England and wanted to ride over here. He is the sort of class act British speedway needs and I, for one, will be disappointed if he doesn't turn up somewhere.

Agreed, no finer sight than Sully in full flight around the showground.

Panthers co-promoter Trevor Swales confirmed the club still expect to have their 2013 team completed by the end of the current year.

Swedish star Linus Sundstrom is the only rider to be named as a definite starter so far.

Swales said: “We are still in the process of putting the team together and deliberating over which riders to include.

“The fans will be the first to know once it has been settled, signed and sealed.

“We still hope that will happen by the end of the year.”

Peterborough Panthers have implemented a first price rise in four years.

The city club have put up the cost of adult admission at the East of England Showground to £17 for the 2013 season.

It is the first time since 2009 that owners Rick Frost and Julie Mahoney have increased prices.

The club still offer free admission to children under 12 and have increased their concessions bracket to include those aged 16 and 17, plus they believe they have put together an attractive season-ticket package.

Mahoney said: “Since 2009, we have absorbed the VAT increase and the rise in general costs of running the club.

“A number of Elite League clubs went to £17 admission for 2011 but we held off for another year and hopefully our supporters will understand that we had to make the small increase.

“We feel our season-ticket deal offers excellent value and we are delighted to also include fans aged 16 and 17 in the concessions bracket.

“We also continue to offer heavily discounted entry for children aged 12 to 15 along with free admission for those under the age of 12.

“Attracting young people and families to the East of England Showground is very important to the club.

“It is essential we build up the next generation of supporters and hopefully the free or discounted admission on offer, combined with our switch to Friday night racing, will enable us to see an increase in attendances in 2013.”

Panthers admission prices:

Adult - £17.00; Concession - £13.00 (16, 17 and Over 60 years old, full-time students and registered disabled); Junior (12 to 15 years) - £5.00; Children (11 and under) – free when accompanied by a paying adult; Family Ticket (two adults and two juniors) - £40.00.

Panthers season-ticket prices:

Adult - £230; Concessions - £175; Junior (12 to 15 years) - £60; Patron - £600.00. All based on a season of at least 15 home fixtures.

Season tickets can be purchased through the club’s website from www.peterboroughpanthers.co

KB has signed his 2nd contract for 2013, but will reveal all soon,

Who is it?

With MJJ still deciding if hes riding in the UK two teams must be being put together one with and one without him but i would say that both will include KB

one could include Mikael Beck so it maybe a while until the exact team is announced
