I've seen two reports from overseas this morning 'apparently' saying that Norbert Koscuich is 'replacing' Linus Sundstrom. The vagaries of Google Translate with the Swedish and Polish languages don't make it crystal clear whether they are indicating joining the team or riding in the match tonight. One report says he has signed the contract ahead of the match.

As it stands the MiniMax racecard has 'R/R' in the place where 'Linus Sundstrom' would have been listed so it's no hardship to scribble in Koscuich's name if he should actually appear. As ever i will update the cards later in the day upon any definitive announcements being made. So for those not on the email listings you can download from the webpage right up to just before the meeting starting.

I don't have any allegiance to either side in the Finals but on reflection would like to see the injury damaged Piraterna grab a win tonight in the first leg so that it keeps the tie exciting over both days. Looking forward to lapping up some speedway, hopefully large crowds and great atmosphere, and savouring our last two days of the Swedish season!

Cheers Premier Sports it's been an enjoyable season and you for sure snaffled some good sporting drama in an otherwise 'not much going on' time slot. Come on everyone admit it, you can't all be playboys and adventurers so what else would you be doing on a (in UK - rainy) Tuesday teatime, it's been a Godsend..

Piraterna have signed Ian Poulter so they are a shoo-in tonight. Join you all later. Alan.

@manchesterpaul they are way wrong.

Sure they can hypothetically replace Linus with Koscuich however then they need to replace any of the others with

Fredrik Engman as its mandatory with two Swedish riders in the lineup.

If they would put Koscuich in for Sundström Piraterna would only have one Swedish rider (Rosén).

Don't hang them just yet, as i pointed out Google Translate struggles with Swedish and Polish so it wasn't crystal clear they were stating he would actually race tonight. Unless you've seen the articles yourself and therefore know they are wrong.

I can't recall the source of the big article but it's a large media name in Sweden (i think), the other one was from svt.se I'm guessing it does seem as if they are again initially overlooking the mandatory number of Swedish riders that have to be in the team. Hopefully it's the journalists who are and not the team managers!.

Anyway all cool, i've not changed anything and will be glad if it stays that way.

Ok i found the article and Linda who wrote the article says

http://www.aktuellsp...nalmatch-1.html

"I Piraternas inskickade lag till tisdagen står Linus Sundström med men om om man kommer att köra riders replacement

för honom eller ta in Norbert Kosciuch är i nuläget oklart.

Pappersarbetet för polackens ingång i truppen ska inte vara klart men det ska det säkerligen hinna bli."

Translated "Linus Sundström is listed in the registered Line up, however if they will use R/R for him

or if they will put in Norbert Kosciuch is unclear at the moment.

The paperwork for him is not done yet but surely it will be in time (for the meeting).

Article was posted yesterday. So I can 100% say now that her article is not correct. (see my previous post).

Edit found another one:

http://www.svt.se/sport/piraterna-slar-ur-underlage-i-finalen basically says the same but it is also wrong.

I also saw that article (Linda) yesterday but it isn't the one i was referring to as being from a large media source. The one i saw was updated this morning......however......no biggie and i'm certainly siding with yourself on this at the moment. Especially so taking into account this business of the mandatory number of Swedish riders being requisite.

Anyway catch you all later for the meeting.

Hi everyone

Hope this is good.I'll stay on with you, but with no streams available ( thanks for your efforts R and R! :t: ) i'm in the dark. it's odd that Premier won't let me buy it due to "This content is not available in your area due to rights restrictions" . 4 million viewers ready to buy in the US and no one will take our money  . I'll follow on updates. Enjoy, you lucky people! Alan.

Awful news about the stream Alan. I trust you got a good updates site on hand. There's the Sportofaktewe one and the Swedish ones that Ghostwalker usually has the link to.

They are working on the track at the moment as it's a little wet to say the least. A great crowd in attendance. Premier Sports have been told it's likely a 6:30-6:40 start (BST). Maybe a stream will still appear once the meeting starts?.

I've only just managed to get home in time for the meeting but will have a quick shufty for links, although yourself and R & R normally know all the sources to check.

Cheers my friend. I've got both Ghostwalkers and Sportowefakty open, so i'll follow along with you.. Why can't these streamers recognise the worldwide interest in this and get all these obscure football matches off the schedule? Alan.

currently multitasking watching/listening to the broadcast in the same time as I am on the phone with my

dad talking him through the process of registering an account and buying the meeting stream.

Make sure he doesn't accidentally type "USA" in or they won't sell it to him. Alan.

Don't worry mate. I get to see more than i could ever have dreamed of a few years ago. I've said to Racers and Royals that every meeting is a bonus for me. Think of how Jim Furyk is feeling today  . There's something to get upset about!!!
