spin king Posted September 21, 2012 Report Share Posted September 21, 2012 Anyone know of a decent pub within walking distance of owlerton for a carvery..not the new barrack tavern please....dont mind a 10/15 minute walk as long as the food is nice !!! Have not read the thread PLRC meet up. The New Barrack Tavern where all the speedway fans will be does an excellent carvery for a very reasonable price, and comes fully recommended by Paulco. It has a wide selection of Real Ales and Lagers. What more could you want. Good Food Good Beer Good Banter And only a few minutes walk from the stadium. PM me if want any further details.. Ah fair enough. Shame as the carvary at the NBT is top class. Only other places I could reccomend is Legends or Rawsons Spring, both are just up the road from the stadium. So the meeting might start and finish/ it might start and be abandoned/ it might not start at all. It’s a lottery at the moment and depends upon how fast that huge thick mass of rain gets up from Bristol where it is right now. My old man was coming up and we were going to go (I live in Sheffield). He has taken one look at the ext 12 hours forecast and changed his mind. I will wait till 16:45 and look at rain radar before I leave my place.
