And you miss the point. If what you might be insinuating was true, they would have taken all of the banners off. instead they removed the ones in the middle of the corner which are in the sight line of the riders, when entering the corner at speed.

Any more grouses.

I think also this was done at the request of the riders, which if thats there view then you have to respect it,after all its them nutters that scream in to the corner at Sheff and a hell of a rate

I was told some years ago by a stock car fan that the food and drink nonsense applied at Owlerton at all stock car meetings, but I haven't seen it at speedway there before.

It isn't the promotions fault the fixture was rained off and in truth what date would have been safe this wet and rainy year?

If the start time had been brought forward there would have been an outcry from folk with arranged coaches etc.

Wasn't the parade on bikes lent by a sponsor?

Certainly the parade wasn't long enough to have got the meeting on in time to prevent a rain off.

Anyone who was fed up by the hours delay should visit Stoke, at least there was food and drink available and we weren't standing in pitch darkness yesterday!

Mr. Machin walked through the crowd during the delay, he didn't hide, if anyone wanted to have their say, I'm sure he would have listened.

On the bright side, I lost my ticket, but this morning found my mates in the car!

It was always going to be a washout - unfortunately

Sheffield is a good venue as it has good cover and a very smart bar. The restaurant is also excellent quality and value

As for the fast food - shyte !

Curry n chips comes a la mcdonalds - in a paper carton and a cup of curry to 'pour' on - trays are obvs not available in South Yorkshire

and the burgers are stone cold (apparently) - I hear that a hot one is 50p more ;)

Still - as suggested - the carvey and bring your own food options are available

According to Sheffield's fixture list the PLRC is now The 14th October with a 1pm start time.

Question for me is do they have the same line-up as yesterday or E.G if Cook is fit does he replace Pijper, If Gjedde's fit does he replace Mellgren etc etc.

In a Play Off group of Somerset & Newcastle, why would Leicester need to run on an off night, and I thought Scunny could run 24 / 7 on the grounds that the same huge crowd turns up whenever its on?

As above , Newcastle either have agreed to slide back to say 7pm or Monday 15th - are Sky still covering the PL Final as promised, or have they found a way to wriggle out of that one?

Well i cant make the restaging of this meeting & have no intention of going to the ELRC, why couldnt i get a refund on my ticket yesterday?????? they were quick enough to take my hard earned £20 off me so why couldnt i get it back after the meeting was calleed off after just 4 heats? Just when u think speedway cant do anything else to put the sport further into the ground & they pull tricks like this!

I was told yesterday after what had gone off last year at Leicester. The cash from the Turnstiles was taken straight to a local banks night safe as soon as the gates were closed.

Better safe than sorry.

Could you imagin 1,400 people in a line to get there admission money back. It would have caused a riot.

And as they say you can send your ticket in the the BSPA and get a Full refund.

Aye it turned out to be a big disappointment . The rain has decimated this season , so was no surprise really . The most optimistic announcement i heard was that they were going to give it another 10 minutes . For what exactly ? the track to get wetter .

Such a shame that you can't really plan anything in this country .

You never get your money back in cash . Did you honestly expect someone to be stood with a load of £20 notes , handing them out to people leaving the stadium ?

On holiday for the re-staging so will probably use my ticket for next years event.

I would think that unless any of yesterday's field gets injured or is riding elsewhere then it should be the same line-up. I cannot see how they can say to Pijper, Melgren, Grajczonek, Alden or Hall that they are good enough to race in the original meeting but not the re-staging (then again anything could happen).
