T.N.T.
No challenge meetings this season then? Straight into EL action? Â Â No, sadly there isn't and the question was asked at the talk in last year about running a Dudley Wolves Trophy meeting when Freddie and Tai are in New Zealand for the opening GP. Â Wolves could ave used Wells, Proctor, Masters, Aspgren, Thorssell, Haines, Morris while Dudley could have had a few guests like Ben Barker, Ryan Fisher and Adam Roynon but it was felt this wouldn't be finacially not viable. Â Â There is the press and practice between Freddie's Testimonial and the opening match.

T.N.T.
Well Freddie and Tai will have done the NZ GP at least while Adam Skornicki will have had at least one outing before the Good Friday meeting at Belle Vue while Ricky rides at Sheffield the night before. Â Â Even if it wasn't the Dudley Wolves matches, it would have been the perfect time to hold the Gary Petersen meeing with the amount of young riders around to challenge the likes of Ricky, Ty and Jacob. Â Â Would have at least blown a few cobwebs off, but maybe finacially it was too much of a risk ?
bigcatdiary
Nice quote from Peter Adams in the star this week and I quote  "I cant put my finger on why we have been so unsuccesful on our travels over the last two seasons because we had completely different teams".   No you didnt Peter they were both awful, funny that everyone could see it but you, I said before he has lost the plot. It will come down to who gels best and Wolves have just as much chance as the next team.

T.N.T.
The team put out this year is a "fans friendly" team in my opinion rather than a team assembled to be possible champions and the best I can see Wolves doing is just about getting into the play offs. Â Wolves have always been a team that has stayed loyal to their assets and the same names continue to appear each season or two. PK was in, out, in, out like the hokey cokey and so too have been Skornicki and Klindt and the cub have hardly ever bought in a loan signing for a heat leader or second string position since Steve Johnston I think. Â Â As much as I love the fact Adam Skornicki is back in the team and look forward to seeing him each week, but to me the balance of the team isn't strong enough in depth and in my opinion they are alongside a number of other teams hoping to get he last two places in the play offs. T.N.T.
Don't see Wolves finishing bottom, but it all depends on who makes changes and when but Swindon and Poole look the strongest two then it's a race after that between 4-5 teams. stevebrum
Like many others, I think Wolves will be at the other end of the table  Many others thought Belle Vue were nailed on for the wooden spoon .................................. until they started making announcements of signings. Bagpuss
On paper it looks like a three way scrap for the wooden spoon between Wolves, Cov and Aces. Once again the team has been built around the top two which hasn't worked for the last couple of years and I can't see this year being any different. The reserves and Wells have bits and pieces of potential to increase their averages but Squora and Proctor have long since peaked so unless somebody has an unbelievable campaign I fear a long season for the Monmore faithful. Pinny
Wolves look poor with Lindgren on the decline, Proctor has peaked and Skornicki is well past his sell by date. Â It needs Woffiden to get into Wards league and Wells to turn into Chris Holder for this side to avoid the wooden spoon. Â I genuinely believe BV , assuming Sully/Zorro sign, look a better side than Wolves.
Conkers in Gravy
"Lindgren on the decline" - still trying to get my head around that statement about one of the top eight riders in the world. Â It's hard to know what to think about this Wolves line-up. IF Woffinden copes with the stresses of GP racing without it affecting his league scores, IF Fred can put that point back on his average, IF Adam can still come up with the match-winning performances that make up for his occasional bad nights, IF Proctor's racing in the PL gives him some extra sharpness, IF Wells can kick on and make the leap to heat leader, IF Masters proves he's the rider some think he is and IF Jacob 'does a Timo Lahti' then Wolves are nailed on for the play-offs, but that's putting faith in a lot of uncertainties. Â It's fair to say most EL teams are in the same boat and almost any club could squeak into the third and fourth play-off spots (including Wolves) and almost any side could finish bottom (including Wolves).
