Wolverhampton 2013

Recommended Posts

I'd pick Klindt over Skornicki every time and as Klindts average is a point lower I'd have no hesitation in signing him. Can only see Klindt putting a point on his average while Skornicki will drop a bit off his.

before the 2012 season they had averages with just 0.41 difference in Adam's favour and if it was a choice between the two then I would be stuck to pick between them.

Now there is 0.89 difference still in Adam's favour and while I have always been a big fan of Nicolai's in the past, I would have only considered him in a Wolves line up in 2013 if Ty was at reserve in a more balaned team where they could have swapped positions mid season.

Sadly Nicolai has gone backwards way too much and while his average of 5.68 could look a bargain to some ..... to me it is a bit of a gamble and if he can maintain that average at Kings Lynn (possibly at #2) then he will have done well as I see him getting more scores of 1 1 2 0 than 1 2*3 1.

Yes Adam as 3rd heat leader may be a gamble too and he may drop a bit, but with Adam you should get more consistancy and those usual match winning rides when most needed. His average could drop however because he will be partnering Ricky Wells who I expect to challenge for 3rd heat leader position in 2013 and Adam could be hitting more 5+3 than 7+1.

The last rider is going to be vital ....... and I would be please if they did take the gamble on a new 4.00 rider like Milik to start at reserve. If it works they look like Genius's .... if it doesnt then I'm sure they have riders like Masters, Luddy etc still available to double up if required.

I disagree that Adam is weaker than Nicolai. Adam has a point higher average and is much better at Wolves than Nicolai.

Jacob and Kus (if signed) have the potential to be very good away from Wolves IMO, lets hope they find it easier at home though.

Pontus and Lukasz had potential at the start of the season. Kus was dreadful when used.

Adam has a point higher average because Nicolai had an injury affected season.

Klindt will average more that Skornicki in 2013 i think. Skornicki is a poor signing and his average is only going to go one way especially as 3rd heatleader.

I believe he will too. However saying that Adam (we hope) will still do a sterling job. And considering not many have an outstanding 3rd heat leader either.

Tend to agree with you.

I'm not sure we'll get the answer to the Klindt/Skornicki debate this season anyway, Whatever the figures, I expect Klindt to average more with Lynn this year than he would have done with Wolves. His injuries clearly left him tentative at Monmore and I think a change to a bigger, pacier track with a bit more room to manoeuvre will suit him.

Nicolai likely to be at #2 alongside Iversen which could help but more likely to be left third places in most races

Adam likely to partner Ricky at #'s 3 and 4 and Ricky and Adm should both be about the same but Ricky certainly seems to be the rider on the up.

Will be interesting to compare what Nicolai 5.68 and Ty Proctor 5.53 average as both likely to be at #2

I'd suggest he is more likely to be in the engine room alongside Mads with Stead at 2.

Much rather have Skornicki than Klindt far more reliable and although Klindt may have the potential to improve,i doubt he will. I would love to have Skornicki in my team, gives everything to the cause and won't be found wanting in the play offs.

Who will he be guesting for in the play offs ?

While I admit there are stronger looking line ups starting the 2013 season, I think many will be under estimating the Wolves line up that could .... COULD be the suprise team and be difficult to beat at Monmore and put up a decent fight on their travels too.

In Freddie and Tai we have two excellent heat leaders that are capable of beating anyone and between them should be capable of hitting 22 points between them each meeting. Adam and Ricky could be a decent pairing at 3 and 4 and avoid last places while Ty is easily capable of getting vital third places and doing well in heat 8. Those three should be ok for 18 points each meeting.

That leaves Jacob at reserve who will pick up the odd point here and there and whoever partners him should see the reserves score at least 6 between them. Thats 46 points most meetings .... add a few more for home meetings, take off a few for away matches and Wolves could (or should) be looking at 36+ points at home and at least 9 points away even if we dont win any again .... but I think that could be doubled to 18 .... Thats 54 points and enough to reach the play offs.

Then it's anyones game !!

Swindon and Poole the teams to beat with Lakeside and Kings Lynn the other contenders.

Sam Masters confirmed as the seventh signing.

Just seen on official site.

Would have been hugely delighted this time last season.

Went backwards in 2012, i just hope he can get his career back on track or we will have a huge wagging tail again.

could still quite easily have a good season. Welcome to Wolves Sam.
