T.N.T.
On Monday evening, Wolverhampton Speedway hold their annual Talk In at Chillington Working Mens Club situated on Hickman avenue close to the Stadium. Each season this evening consists of Chris Van Straaten, Peter Adams and a guest, usually a rider taking questions from the floor, usually fronted by Nigel Pearson. Why were Leicester denied entry to the Elite League ? Why did Dudley not move up to the Premier League ? What are the views on the new doubling up rules and the ups and downs of it ? Are Wolves going to buy Ricky Wells and who will he be lining up with ? Entry is usually a small fee which goes to charity (not too sure which one) and starts at 7.30pm. Every year this brings a lare crowd to the evening, so anyone intersted in coming along, get there early. Edited December 2, 2012 by T.N.T. Gemini
Why were Leicester denied entry to the Elite League ? I think we already know the answer to that question so a better one would be 'Why will it be any different in 2014?' Presumably the same reasons will still apply so I don't understand why they were not allowed in next season.
BWitcher
Not really Gemini. If Sky don't renew their contract, next season they will be begging Leicester to join.
Gemini
I don't see that. The problem was perhaps taking supporters away from Peterborough (who were the ones who didn't want them in the E.L.) and perhaps Coventry, the two nearest tracks to Leicester. So if there is no Sky contract in 2014 it's going to be even worse with all the tracks desperate to hang onto their fans. I do believe Leicester offered to not have any Sky money anyway next season but still got turned down.

Why on earth would we want to know why Dudley aren't moving up to the Premier League? Doors open 7.30, main event starts at 8. Also, get your DVD of 'Monmore Magic', 3 hours of the best Monmore Green action in 2012. 3 hours? Blimey! Might be stretching it a bit! T.N.T.
Yes it is a Wolves Talk In, but it is used to talk about the sport in general too and both Leicester and Dudley not moving up has a small significance to Wolves. .... Leicester would add another team to the fixtures .... Dudley not moving up means Adam Roynon wont be getting in practice each Tuesday and if they had moved up there was a good chance a Wolves rider could have been in their ranks ======================================================================= At the talk in, we will hopefully get a clearer picture of who is going to be in the team. We know Freddie is back and Ricky has been in talks while Tai is almost certain to start at #1. ... Don't think Pontus and Jacob will be back as both reserves and expect Jacob 3.00 to get the vote of confidence as he progressed a lot from his debut. .... Personally I would have thought Pontus would be the one lining up in 2013 due to his slightly better form at the end of the season but actually think it will be Jacob selected. Also the position of Ty Proctor will be more clear hopefully and personally speaking I hope he lines up with the #2 race jacket. ... That would leave two team places if those five do start in 2013 with 10.70 available and the list of riders that could fit that bill is quite long in the main body place with Sebastian Ulamek 7.10, Adam Skornicki 6.57, Kenni Larsen 6.57, Eddie Kennett 6.25, Robert Miskowiak 5.81 and Daniel Nermark ...... Larsen, Miskowiak or Nermark seem more likely. As for the other reserve spot, Ricky Kling 3.97 would fit in with Larsen .... Lasse Bjerre 4.83 would fit with Miskowiak .... Hougaard 4.97 or Stuart Robson 5.09 would fit with Nermark. ........ Wouldn't mind any combination really ....but we will have to see. Guest wolfhound
Thank God the 'Talk -In' is tonight so we won't have to put up with more numerous posts from T.N.T detailing the 200 or so riders who could be pulling on a Wolves race jacket in 2013! I have lost count of how many times this rider or that rider has been mentioned and I know it is the 'silly season' but we all know the riders we would like, we all know the riders we don't like and we all know that whatever 1 - 7 we suggest, it won't be the one that CVS and PA put together! PS: If averages were abandoned, what would T.N.T do?
Fourentee
PS: If averages were abandoned, what would T.N.T do? Use a smaller typeface to get all the names in?

Fair play to TNT. Wolves management needs a hand choosing reserves!!!! Even Rosco makes some daft signings!
Bagpuss
Christ, you may as well stick with Aspegren rather than go with Kling

BWitcher
So the big news out of the talk-in is No Racejackets in 2013. I can only see the sport kicking on from here and going from strength to strength. Future generations will look back at this historic decision as the moment speedways fortunes were turned.

Bloody hell we might as well pack up now Aye, but Noaksey, when was the last time you saw Nermark race without a racejacket? Its all changed now.. previous form is out the window!
