BluPanther
Ty needs operation for a slipped disc and nerve damage to his neck. Loooks like his season could well be over. That's a shame, the guy was having a fine season. Hope Wolves can find a good replacement...
SteveLyric2
Poole are favourites for 4 points so the pressure really is on Poole to try take advantage of our woeful injury problems. Only Birmingham have really capitalised so far. No doubt the boys will put in plenty of effort on Monday. We are the underdogs right now but 4 points for the Pirates will see them will and truly in the mix finally. Despite not knowing what the Poole 1-7 is going to be yet!!
stevebrum
That's a shame, the guy was having a fine season. Hope Wolves can find a good replacement... Its looking like our good start is soon going to ebb away. Proctor is such a key reason for our good start. Despite not knowing what the Poole 1-7 is going to be yet!! Poole have re-declared haven't they? Harris as a guest is no match replacing Fred so Heats 13 and 15 now give Poole the edge when it was 50-50 against Fred/Tai. Has been proven time and time again RR is no replacement for Ty. So whatever other changes are made to the Pirates line up they are already clear favourites for the meeting. Wolves the underdogs but we have had fight all season. So hopefully the boys can hang on for a win against the odds.

stevebrum
I think it's a 50-50 with Poole clear favourites Nothing 50/50 about this one, thought even you could work that one out.

T.N.T.
 Despite not knowing what the Poole 1-7 is going to be yet!! Darcy Ward, Chris Holder, Magic Janowski, THJ, RohanTungate, Mickey Dyer, Kozza Smith Spoke to Ty on Monday a the Wolves !! v Dudley match and he said then that earlier in the day he slipped and used his right hand to grab hold of a rail. He had a shooting pain all up his arm. He said that the last resort was to have the operation which he has clearly reached now and sadly this could be the end of 2013 for him with just two months left of league racing. While there are numerous riders that fit the bill average wise. The one rider I would put as the #1 target is Mikkel Michelsen who rides with Freddie in Poland and Sweden and I think comes in on an assessed 5.50 average. ..... He may not want to take up the option of riding here, but he would be my main target. Otherwise it would be Peter Ljung 5.61, Vaclav Milik 5.00*, Tobiasz Musielak 5.00*, David Ruud 5.28 or even looking to the future, Russian youngster, Wladimir Borodulin who rides with Adam in Poland or 18 year old Hungarian prospect, Roland Benko. Probably end up with someone like Kauko Nieminen or David Howe doubling up.
SteveLyric2
Darcy Ward, Chris Holder, Magic Janowski, THJ, RohanTungate, Mickey Dyer, Kozza Smith Not for Monday it won't be!!! Another re-declaration after this evening. Kozza only in for one meeting plus doubts over Dyer after he was eventually withdrawn at Redcar last night and of course the length of THJ's rib/collarbone absence! Watch this space. stevebrum
Darcy Ward, Chris Holder, Magic Janowski, THJ, RohanTungate, Mickey Dyer, Kozza Smith Or pretty much similar to that once they re-declare. Which was my original point.

How come Poole (or any club) are allowed to sign a rider for one meeting? It's things like that which make a mockery of this sport! Why have a team at all - just pick 7 available riders, stick a club shirt on and get them to ride. Oops! Sorry! That's what Poole have been doing for the last month!
BWitcher
It's the same old 'find the loophole' in the rules that certain promoters think makes them 'great'.
SteveLyric2
It's the same old 'find the loophole' in the rules that certain promoters think makes them 'great'. What loophole??? Any team can re-declare as many times as it likes as long as it keeps within the required points limits and gets BSPA MC approval! Remember MF wasn't at the AGM in November so can't really be blamed for any of this season's rules/changes!!! If there weren't stupid points limits and unworkable team building regs then there wouldn't be an issue - for any club!! I see at least 2 or 3 promoters - probably more - are now coming around to Matt's proposal for squads!! BWitcher
Shame the fans of the sport aren't coming around to Ford's (and others)constant antics. Edited July 5, 2013 by BWitcher
Wolfsbane
I'll divorce myself from the Poole it is/isn't fair discussion for the time being. Arguably our season has been set up by Ty's sudden upswing. Bad news as they are, Tai & Fred's injuries could/can be covered more 'comfortably'. I want Proctor back in the team yesterday, but by all accounts, it ain't looking good for 2013. Which brings me to the point. CVS & Adams are legendary for dithering and faffing about when change is needed, even if we are bottom of the bloody league. How much ruddy longer/points are we going to drop before a decision is made? Say what you like about Fat Maud but he don't hang about. $hit, I wasn't supposed to mention them
SCB
How come Poole (or any club) are allowed to sign a rider for one meeting? It's things like that which make a mockery of this sport! Why have a team at all - just pick 7 available riders, stick a club shirt on and get them to ride. Oops! Sorry! That's what Poole have been doing for the last month! This is surely where the BSPA use the rule that basically says, they can veto any team declaration in the interests of the sport. Riders should have to stay in a team for 28 days unless long term injured (dr note for 4 weeks needed) As for replacements for Wolves, how about Miskowiak? Steve0
If there weren't stupid points limits and unworkable team building regs then there wouldn't be an issue - for any club!! I see at least 2 or 3 promoters - probably more - are now coming around to Matt's proposal for squads!! But that's the point - there are points limits and team building regs. I don't really care if other promoters are coming round to thinking about squads because for now - they aren't allowed - except it seems for Poole! I do hope the BSPA block any subsequent dropping of Kozza until he has ridden the required 28 days! This is just getting silly now !
