Main Man Posted August 21, 2012 Report Share Posted August 21, 2012 Knights put Colts to the sword MK Knights climbed to the top of the Midland Development League table on Monday night with a 17-19 away victory at top of the table Belle Vue Colts in Manchester, their 4th away victory from 5 matches! On a warm night in Manchester, the Knights went ahead in heat 2 when Shaun Tedham & guest rider Lee Geary took advantage of home rider Michael Neale falling to take the race with a 1-5 points advantage! After 4 races, the Knights lead the Colts 11-13 but a 4-2 heat win by the home side levelled the scores at 15-15 with 1 race to go! As the final heat started, the MK duo of Dwyer & Tedham leapt to the front and looked to be heading to a maximum heat advantage until home rider Neale took a heavy fall into the safety fence, causing the race to be stopped and re-run! As the tapes went up for the re-start, Dwyer again reached the 1st bend in front with Colts Tom Woolley close behind and Tedham tucking in for the match winning point in 3rd The win puts MK top of the table on 12pts from 8 matches with Long Eaton & Belle Vue joint 2nd on 11pts, having ridden 10 & 9 matches each www.mkknightsspeedway.co.uk Belle Vue Colts 1.
