before any rule is passed at an agm, all involved should state how many more people that rule will bring to meetings,if its none as most of the current crop of rules dont then it dosent get passed

This is a dig at the sport malcom not stoke personally , I just used the stoke example, it makes the sport look stupid , you can bring 7 gp riders tomorrow if you wish, r/r should not happen in the national league, it's the NL that is short sighted and untill it starts to show some forward thinking it will always remain a bad smell to the bspa

But then again if the cap fits , lol

Exactly right R/R in NL is a joke.

rr in nl is not nessasary, elite leage riders in nl is a joke, and riders doubling down to nl should share same position, ie one team place for double down riders per team. averages should be covered by all meetings and ammended monthly, no rider riding in higher league at reserve whatever his average

R/R rule, A pool of riders is made up from riders from amateur meetings STR etc,When both teams are using r/r both teams ure a rider from the pool

On mini tour a couple of weeks ago I see enough young talent at Sheffield, Scunthorpe and Leicester to fill 2NL teams just give them a chance .

I think it would be much better if the NL had a squad system, at least for the reserve spots. This would ensure that more riders got the chance to race for teams.

Also, the NL should have the same rules for missing riders that used to be used in the old Second Division/ National League

R/R only allowed for the 3 heat leaders, any other missing riders to be covered by the teams squad members. If both teams have a heat leader missing then they would both promote a squad member. A guest would only be allowed if a team had 2 heat leaders missing.

Also, doubling up positions should be shared by 2 riders, to reduce the chances of missing riders.

Most supporters in all leagues want to see 2 full teams of 7 riders, if possible.

I couldn't believe the match was on after the downpour I went through to get there or that we would see 15 heats. In the end, the only thing that threatened to stop the meeting was a strange and unexpected wall of fog that advanced rapidly after heat 13 towards the track. Cue Stoke fans urging the referee to get on with heat 15 :D

Buxton has never been one of my favourite tracks but it definitely improves after receiving the benefit of some rain, and this was quite possibly the best meeting I have seen there with some close racing and a last heat decider (which, to be fair, was never in doubt).

Couple of very impressive performances from Blacklock (easily the best I have seen him ride) and Carr.

A very entertaining meeting, some spirited riding, some excellent passing.

Ryan stayed glued to his seat for almost all of his races and, as always rode his guts out in all of his rides and at last has a proper reward for his efforts.

Well done that man!

Messrs. Lambert and Birks gave a great exhibition of their skills on a tricky but quite fast track.

Both sides should be congratulated on a great afternoons speedway, thank you.

Sadly, Ben hurt himself in a nasty crash and Buxtons number 1 for the day never showed his real potential.

On paper it shouldn't have been good, in reality it was very good, one of those classic matches that stay in your mind.
