Super Blue
As it is to have a nostalgic 70's feel I was expecting admission at £2 and programme 20p! I agree 100% , might mention that at the gate ! Must admit I'm not totally sure I'm keen on seeing Rye again but this meet needs the support , especially from the likes of myself who were around in the JB era . spanner47
Aarron Summers replaces Kevin Doolan who replaced Anders Mellgren... Ben Morley replaces Jason Garrity While I disagree with most of his/her posts, you can't just ban someone because you disagree with them... Whatever happened to free speech? Fair comment Shadders, but some posts are deleted for personal abuse. But this vile little moron abuses the promotion every week and gets away with it, seems like one rule for some and one for others!!
aljack
I take it this meeting is the same price as usual to attend ? I think they may have had a very high turnout had they dropped the price to a tenner or something . What a hope, yes thats right no hope

dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
A turnout larger than any other meeting bar Good Friday for what otherwise would have been seen as a run of the mill challenge shows the regard in which John Berry is rightly held.

Glad to hear it. For many, he was Mr Ipswich Speedway. All the best Rob
tocha
The comments made by Len Silver did not, in any way, disguise his dislike of John Berry. He even took a swipe at his promoting skills by suggesting the Louis' do just as good a job in more difficult circumstances. What was the problem between them as it seems a rather long time to hold a grudge.

People had disposable income and not much to spend it on, now the spare cash goes on, sky tv, mobile phone bills, internet access to name but three. With the dreadful Summer we've had, any Promoter (except Mr Ford) that comes out of this season breaking even will be very happy i'd imagine. Bash
Totally agree "tenyearsafter" why bother at all if louis is only putting on this pathetic excuse as a tribute to a great great man in John Berry. As I say its just a date filler sad indeed!!! Why don't you read post 6 of this topic by James Easter and stop spouting the same old crap and believe the facts put to you. What was the problem between them as it seems a rather long time to hold a grudge. this is the man whose nickname is "Phil" who last season charged the same as his nearest Elite League tracks and wonders why is crowds are going down!!! If the great man can read this i am sure he will chuckle at this and the irony of the fact that he gave up fish and chips to be the best promoter and that his great rival turned his skills to running a fish and chip shop!!! When he hasnt soled out.
spiegal
On behalf of Ray Walters of Orwell Motor Cycls, myself, and all the "Old Boys" who turned up in honour of JB...a huge thank you to the big crowd who attended Foxhall on a warm emotional night. Also a thanks to the Louis family for treating the event with absolutely the correct attitude and commitment. Certainly all the former riders thoroughly enjoyed the evening, and spent a lot of time talking to the many fans who chewed the fat way past the final race. Thanks again...those of us close to JB felt that he was watching us all with no small pride and enjoyment. Thank you all again. Shadders
this is the man whose nickname is "Phil" It's only a nickname if it's in general use. I've never heard or read him called that before.

My sincere condolence's to all his family, Aljack.
