Martin Vaculik Unhappy With His Exclusion At Sgp Terenzano ?

Recommended Posts

Reasonably decent prospect shame he's not actually Italian...or is he?!....Argentinian?....anyway its the one of two (vojens) gp's that i thoroughly detest so thankfully im away on holiday then....cant say i'll be busting a gut to find anywhere showing it as it always looks so plastic and false plus itsbasically just a sun and sea jolly up for most.

So thats the first and last post from myself on this thread lolol

ANOTHER very hot day here in Terenzano and will probably still be around the start at 20.00 local time. Sadly the track here is no different from previous years and is unlikely to produce racing of the quality we have become accustomed to this GP season. It only really worked two years ago when it rained all day and gave the track a proper and natural soaking. Watering from a truck has almost little or no effect.

The fact is that the riders don't really like it and nor does the Race Director but last night the club president and the local mayor announced that the SGP would be returning in 2013. If they were anticipating a rousing round of applause from the gathered audience they would have been sadly disappointed!

Somewhat surprisingly most riders, bar the absent Bjarne Pdersen, completed most of their practice runs. The exceptions were Antonio LIndback and Martin Vaculik who called a halt after three runs each. Even Emil Sayfutdinov did all six which is most unusual for him. Given how hot it was and how little the riders actually learn it was hard to comprehend why most did as much as they did.

The very long straights at Terenzano mean riders build up a lot of speed but with no banking and little grip it is very easy to over-shoot the corners, even in practice and on their own.

So the riders don't like it the fans don't like it and the race director doesn't like it.

Why on earth are they going back next year? A GP for the sake of having a GP

Hi everyone,

Not usually that terrific at this venue, but maybe today the racing gods will smile on us.

Alan.

Good Evening Alan and all. I might not be as verbose as usual lol, i trying to watch Nascar on the TV at the same time which leaves me viewing the Speedway on my computer screen via Sky Go (superb high quality) and also have my interactive spreadsheet on the monitor.

The track looks like some sort of concrete bowl and Philip Rising's comments and information on the make up of the track alongside historical borefest's means we'll be hoping that the SGP's magic year has it's wands supercharged tonight.

No surprise no crowd by the way.

Keenly anticipated Heat 2 upon us.

For the captions SKY use a pre-recorded shot taken about an hour before the start-no way is there NO crowd there.

I wasn't even looking at the screen at the time i was going solely on the commentator saying there is only a little crowd in the stadium.
