Rye House V Workington 13/8/12

tomorrow sees the rockets take on workington in the first meeting staged at the launch pad since the olympic break. with both teams missing riders it could be a close match depending on the line ups. after a decent weeks weather the forecast is poor for monday, typical british summer!

I'm really praying for a rain off to give Keith and tony time to find to riders to fill in for Kyle and Kenny .

Not had enough rain off's this year Sue? We went into a Northern Tour last weekend without Jordan Frampton who "retired" the day before we were s'posed to leave. You just gotta get on with it.

I reckon you'll get your wish though unfortunately.

Yes shadders enoug rain off,s but we want a full team out like most supporters would

Beggars can't be choosers Sue. If we only rode when we had our full team out every season would last a decade. Thats what the rider replacement and guest rules are for. Them's the breaks (pardon the pun)

With Gjedde out of tomorrows meeting, I really hope Rye get Josh Auty to guest and he's a max, To Quote Kevin Keegan 'I'd Just Luv it' if he did that

I expect you're like me, go to speedway, meet and speak to riders in the bar and sort of get to know them. You're not just watching 4 different coloured helmets going round. There's a young lad, miles from home in hospital with bones broken in his back as well as his arm and you see it as a chance to take the mick. It was a bad crash, I don't think for a minute that Josh meant to hurt anybody , he had plenty time to get past which I think he would have cos he was flying. I enjoy watching him but remember not being surprised when he took Mear out in the Brit Champ, if he could gate he'd take some catching. Cheap shot I think.

Think I'm missing something here... How was that post "taking the mick"?

If you don't know....

I know what happened at Workington on Saturday, but why did that post have in it that upset you so, apart from it mentioned Josh Auty?

I wasnt taking the mick i'm very sad that Kenny is hurt, I wanted Auty to guest and get a max so he could stick his middle finger *not literally* at all them Workington Morons who think he went out to Kill Ingalls last night. Incidents like this happen in Speedway. Riders like Josh are a breath of fresh air to British Speedway. We should be backing him not whinging at him accusing him of purposly going out to injure someone is just Idiotic.

I think you'll find that the majority of Workington fans, like me said it was reckless, no more. A very respected member and the administrator of the unofficial forum thought it was a racing incident. The fact is we're all in this together, no one wants to see riders hurt from any team. All the fans here are concerned about Kenny yet you want a rider to stick his finger up at them (not literally). Respect? Bit inflammatory I think. As for Josh he didn't seem the same in his next race, don't know if it had anything to do with the accident. It's the worst crash I've seen and I had a good view of it, he could have waited til there was room.

And Shadders, asking how it was takiing the mick, come off it. You're on here a lot and I notice your other team, Berwick are having atrocious luck. Best wishes to Ricky, if there's a more frustrating sport to follow I don't know what is,

Yeah, but I know Superstar1 and know he'd never take the mick as far as injured riders are concerned... My other team is Arsenal, I don't follow Scottish football
