What is travel to Pardubice like? Would a flight in to Prague and then a train be possible?

Yes, it's possible. But the hotels are pretty much booked by now in Pardubice. Atleast from the sites I use... Be careful with taxis in Prague.

Very easy, I have done it for years - Czech Railway Timetable is here (In English too) : www.cd.cz (Remember to use Czech place names, i.e. Praha, not Prague)

Prague to Pardubice is 104 KM eastwards, doesnt take long at all
