slim24
Thoughts on this one anybody????, the Islanders will be without Aaron Baseby, but Mark steps back in this week, hoping for a good close meeting like last week, if the rain holds off, which at the moment is it. greyhoundp
Can only see a win for IOW here, i wouldnt be surprised to see The Islanders go over the 50 points, but one thing is for sure, The young Scunny riders will enjoy the experience of riding the Islanders Track, can we have it up here in Heathen land plz. greyhoundp
Well done to young mr Stoneman, his best result of the season i would think, just shows what having a decent sponsor can do for you, they must have brought him a magic shoe, never mind a steel shoe, more of the same from now on. Bryn
Ben Hopwood's score was 11 - we were dashing to get 10 o'clock ferry back to Pompey (which thankfully we just managed to get aboard) when I phoned through result from my mobile and obviously was misheard. Other scores are as shown - Lewis Kerr's includes a 4 point TR in heat 11 whilst Gary Irving fell whilst taking a TR two heats earlier and was disqualified from r/r Kyle Hughes had something of a nightmare with machine problems leading to a 2 min exclusion in heat 4, Islanders forced to track just one rider in heat 7. a win on a borrowed bike in heat 11 to beat TR Kerr and retiring after just one lap in heat 13 after being handicapped 15m for exceeding 2 min allowance!! lucifer sam
Oliver Greenwood very impressive on his first ever appearance at Smallbrook. Mark Baseby was class for the Islanders - especially his third to first dash in Heat 15. All the best Rob

All the best Rob Mark has loads of talent, pushed Royno all the way to the Track record two weeks ago, if he got his head down and concentrated on Speedway, there is NO doubt in my mind, he could be PL Standard, but then again he is British. The implication being what... he is British so wont concentrate on the sport? I don't know if things have changed but as I understood it Mark didn't want to return to riding speedway full time. A personal choice.

I apologise, was hard to tell either way what the implication was. Can't really disagree with you there, if he chose to ride full time it is hard to get an opportunity to move up, after all, in Britain, a foreign rider must be better than a British one... after all, they're foreign
