Brilliant comeback by the Saints in the final three races, taking three 5-1s to record a 46-43 victory. :approve:

All the best

well done to scunny buxton need there arses kicked 11 points up at heat 12 and then they loose by three heat 14 was the one they should have sealed the meeting in but both buxton riders fell no wonder the team manager walked off in disbelief heat 14 seems to be a self destruct one for the team the manager did the right thing by replacing widman with blacklock but then to have both riders fall off beggars belief

Settle down mate im sure the riders tried there best but falls are all part of the sport. The question id like answered is how scunthorpe can get away with using a guest for a rider i read has retired, atleast 2 months ago, blatant cheating, pick a new number one each week that rides the track well.

Steve worrall is the number one and he is injured so rightly so they chose a guest. No cheating at all from what i can see.

Jerran Hart is Scunthorpe's declared number 1.

The Rules probably on the same page as the one allowing Ben Reade to ride the whole season on a 3.00 ;)

Ben moves up next Sunday. So has one more meeting at reserve. By that point Stoke will have ridden 11 meetings in league and cup. We will have 5 league meetings left, at least 2 KoC, and 6 National Trophy, for a total of 13.

So he rides less at reserve than in the main body.

As for Jerran, if this were the PL, Scunthorpe would have had a 28 day facility for a retired rider. In the NL, you don't need to provide a reason for a rider missing a meeting, so Scunthorpe can use guests/R/R until such time as they redeclare their team without Jerran in it.

What a bunch of sour grapes - the Saints' line-up is completely within National League rules.

Yesterday, the Saints travelled without their top two, had four first year league rookies, and still picked up an away win.

Is that right,im not so sure as we have had guest/RR for David Howe for alot longer than 28 days,????

If the rider is injured, you get a facility for as long as needs be. I would imagine that, given that retirement is technically with-holding services, you get a facility for the duration of the ban that the retired rider would have.

So your admitting he wont ride again.

So how long do you get to redeclare, at most you should have 28 days, if a rider is deemed to be witholding his services although i doubt that rule would even apply for a rider that has stated he is retiring.

Biggest crock of ive ever heard, i ask the question again, how can you get a guest when the rider has retired.

You can call it manipulating the rules, i call it cheating personally.

As for you Rob, explain to me who are your top two.

Not admitting he wont ride again no because i dont no if he will or wont

If he has retired, that means he wont be riding so i guess he is"withholding",so that is why i think you can get a guest,

Regardless of the hart situation,Steve would be No.1 so as he is out with a snap,Ash Morris could still have come in a done the great job here did

And score today still reads a Scuny win=--------Well done the Mighty Saints

Jerran Hart and Steve Worrall are the top two averaged riders within the Scunny Saints declared line-up.

Precisely.

All well within the rules of the National League.

Both teams rode very well on a track that was tricky at first.

Gary Irving was incredible, Ashley Morris was good.

Byron Bekker wasn't at his best, but stuck with it.

It was an entertaining, nail biting match, more so because Ryan Blacklock managed to stay glued to his bike more often than usual and recorded a great score well deserving the Man of the Match award.

The score didn't go Buxton's way, but they didn't really deserve to lose, but on balance Scunthorpe probably did.

Mrs. Moss might like to be more careful where she is slinging books next time though and mind she doesn't have that gate off its hinges!

It was worth £15 for that little exhibition of temper alone!
