Dietbowers
From reports I get from my friends down there who go every week, and like you from the descriptions we get from the updates on the quality of the racing. I will be able to see for myself first hand on Friday, you going? Took you a long time to reply CB,you`ll have to stop watching the soaps on tv... No,not going, all spare cash gone on a vacation. Yeah, sorry about that DB,just didn`t pick it up.Sorry you are not going as you know I don`t really get the time ( or the cash) to get down that often so when I am down it`s always good to see old friends and occasionally meet strange new ones. Going away myself on the 6th Sept for two weeks, but I will try to look in and see how The Rebels are doing on the updates site.

Cliffeboy
Ouch ! Mind you on the plus side the swelling may partially interest Mrs DB momentarily, still I think I need to drag this thread out of the gutter and back on topic. Plymouth and Leicester from Group 1 Somerset and Scunny from Group 2 Scunny v Leicester in the final. Top riders on the night , Doyle, Baby Bjerre, Jorgy, Cory. drew2
The track certainly had a good watering late this afternoon! Absolutely lashed it down for a good 10 mins, glad the meeting wasn't tonight as that would have been that. Apologies in advance for any of you who text me for weather updates on a Friday for the OTA but I am away working (playing golf to be precise!) in the Forest of Dean that day so won't have a clue what the weather is like in Somerset. orderly
Josh is reserve at Cardiff too and will Thomas Jorgensen be announced fit?......These 2 together could do it, but I'm more inclined to think Somerset will win as Doyle has been on fire lately, plus home track advantage. There is no home advantage at Somerser, mores the pity
crazysue
I'll ask now......our regular texter is unable to text from this meeting so is there anyone going to this meeting who would be able to text updates to the updates site for others to enjoy (me included as I am not making the trip to Cardiff and thus, Somerset). If so, could you please either leave a message here or send me an email or pm. Thanks Edited August 22, 2012 by crazysue

It chucked it down last season aswell, but they managed to get through the meeting,it played into Glasgow`s hands that night, Screeny was great and I think that is probably the best Grieves has ever ridden at the OTA. Will they give an early call-off ??? This bloody weather spoils everything

This forecast doesn`t look too bad http://www.xcweather.co.uk/forecast/highbridge Edited August 23, 2012 by racers and royals

torpointfanatic22
Either way the forecast looks like being rain in the afternoon and drying up in the evening. If ever a meeting needed to utilise the use of track covers during the day this looks like the one! If this meeting was ruined due to weather I'd be gutted.
