StevePark
I'm a Newcastle supporter and i see the diamonds haven't qualified for the pairs? Fair enough but the qualifying is supposedly the top 3 averaged riders? So this would be Worrall, Lemon & Robson so with the rolling averages how does this mean Richie's still 6th in the diamonds averages. I don't understand this one bit..... anybody shed any light please Looks like we are in after all!! Mr Snackette
Shouldn't make no difference (sic) as there is no such thing as "unforseen circumstances" in his eyes Ah the insecure one is on the case again. As usual he adds nothing to the debate, but I suppose with his own personal issues that he has to deal with, no one should be that surprised!!!!! No complaints from me about Ipswich missing out on the Pairs. If averages are to be used for qualification purposes, it is quite evident that Ipswich fall a long way short. Interesting that for a pairs meeting the top three averages are taken, yet for the Fours it wasn't five. But both events are organised by the BSPA should anyone be surprised. Fozzie4388
I hear Barker and Cook are the track reserves for Cardiff. Didnt Barker miss the Pairs last year due to the same reason?
crescent girl
I hear Barker and Cook are the track reserves for Cardiff. Didnt Barker miss the Pairs last year due to the same reason? I love these "I hear" posts...... But that's possible, as the reserves are probably selected from the British Final, and riders above them in the pecking order from that meeting (Woffinden, Kennett and Stead) might not want to accept invitations. However, all this means is, if Barker feels he cannot do the Pairs, Cory Gathercole comes in. Probably why three riders are nominated for the Pairs in the first place.
