waco
Your bloody joking they didnt even have trophies for the place getters. Was going to ask if anyone had a photo of the (trophy) presentation I did hear they didnt pay 4, 3 , 2 and there was no prize money given to the place getters not sure about the winners. We give trophies every week over here in the juniors. Tight isnt the word, no wonder riders pull out, how many will want to ride in the fours. By the time you buy a tyre your out of pocket for the privilidge of riding for your club. JuniorSpot on the FOURS is an even bigger joke than the PAIRS..If you dont make the final you will lose money.....2 rides is not worth turning up for.... tenyearsafter
Having attended this meeting yesterday i would say the crowd totalled nearly over a 1000. That would make the gate receipts in the region of £12,000. Seeing that the riders were paid the national league pay rate of £10 per point, that made total prize money of £1080. O.k the riders were also paid travelling money but if that totalled another £500 the B.S.P.A. came out with a tidy profit at the end of day. Stadium Rent, Medics, insurance, track prep + other expenses.
