Mimmo
Next Friday evening sees Great Britain celebrate the Opening Ceremony for the Olympic Games, a prestigious occasion indeed, but forget that because that's where DVD recorders and the like come into their own. Put your running shoes on, and get yourself down to the Norfolk Arena, as that's where the 'Young Stars' will be holding their Opening Ceremony to the 2012 home season. Not quite I know, but with it being just a few days to August, we stage just our third meeting of the season here in Norfolk. Scunthorpe 'Saints' and deadly local derby rivals are in town, and there could be no finer way to relaunch our 2012 home campaign. With the likes of former Ipswich rider Jerran Hart at Premier League level in their ranks, along with current PL performers in the shape of Gary Irving and Steven Worrall, this could be one of the toughtest meetings we encounter this season. Dudley, Mildenhall and Stoke will also provide stern opposition when they visit, as will all clubs come to that, but by then, the boys will have shaken off some of their race dustiness, so will probably be sharper, As you know, we've got a good 1-7 here at King's Lynn, and although both Dudley & Mildenhall are yet to lose a league match, what's to say we can't put a winning run together, and join them at the top of the league. With your support, I'm sure we've got an outstanding chance of doing that, so why not come down and join in and enjoy our second Opening Cermony. Start time is 7.30pm. Mimmo
Is anybody actually going to this meeting tonight, or are you all staying at home to watch the Olympic Games Opening Ceremony? Can't believe how few postings there are about the meeting!! Oh! if anyone is going, the weather is good at the moment, and 'Lucy' on 'Daybreak' this morning that there would be a mixture of sun and cloud this evening. MrMungo
Good ol' Lucy! Bound to be several. 13 riders (ish), a few mechanics, a referee, a start marshall, someone to let the masses in, someone to serve food for the masses. Bound to be packed. Hope you're planning on getting there early, Mimmo! Edited July 27, 2012 by MrMungo

MrMungo
I've not done the Eggbowl since 2000. Have no intention of starting today. I will be one of the masses at the Norfolk Arena tonight. National League racing at King's Lynn is such a rare occurence nowadays I'd have to see it with my own eyes to believe it!

Race to be re-run without him, and Danny is being seen by the paramedics. Re-Run: Rose from the gate and Greenwood passed him down the backstraight. Stokes was always close for the rest of the race, including getting very, very close off the last bend but Greenwood just about kept him at bay. Stokes (fell).2-7, 43-35, 65.00 Line Up: Kerr, Stokes, YOUNG, Phillips Greenwood Comments: Tom Young takes Scunthorpe's second tactical ride of the evening. Stokes fell last lap when last.
