British Final At Wolverhampton, Mon 30th July 2012

Personally I'd love Rob Mear to win it. I know it's highly unlikely to happen, but it would be awesome wouldn't it?

Realistically, Tai if fully fit is my tip.

Rob Mear is very under rated in my opinion...............think he is a great little rider.............

Tai, Danny King and Ben Barker for my top 3...........

Agreed. I admire Robert for sticking at the EL, he has definetly improved as a rider.

As he got any foreign commitments because that would really help his career move forward.

Nope, The bloke that left Woffinden standing still in the World Cup Final.

And beaten on his own home track. By the way GB didnt qualify for the final.

(from updates Peterborough V wolves last week)

Heat 09: Woffinden, Jepsen Jensen, Sundstrom, Ingalls 3-3 (26-28) 65.0

Tai to win if fit ,otherwise i think if Bomber can get out of the gates he will beat Nicholls for top spot.

Predict.... 1st Tai (if fit)

2nd Bomber

3rd Nicholls

4th King

Roynon to just miss out ,dont think he'll quite make the final

Unless Tai pulls out or struggles then i reckon Roynon will finish 4th

Why is this event always at Tai's home track

Talk about favouritism.

Are you totally anti WOLVES or what.....

All you do is moan and grown about how wolves are cheats and now you want to say its favouritism because the British final is held at wolves. May just maybe its held at wolves because its the best track in the elite league, maybe just maybe its because the wolves track is the best prepared track in the elite league and maybe its because everyone likes to ride the wolves track because its always prepared for even/fair racing for all riders.Stop moaning ....get on yer bike, rev up and toodle off

No answer at Wolves. Is it cash only on the turnstiles or do they accept card payments too, please? Thanks.

No they dont take Credit Cards .... its simply pay at the turnstiles on the day. .... Maybe the organisers BSPA (not Wolves) would take advance bookings over the phone, I dont know but unlikely at this late date.

As for how do Wolves cater for larger crowds ..... The main area at Monmore is on the home straight Grandstand and terracing that goes all the way to the pits over looking the first bend. ... The terracing has been packed a few times, but there is also raised standing looking onto the first bends and there is also standing on the apex of the 3rd and 4th turns from behind the safety wall, but the air fence may be a bit of a hinderance.

I dont know the official figures, but I'm sure Monmore Green could easily hold the crowd for this event and larger ones as it has in the past and I would doubt it will have as many there as some previous meetings .... Wolves v Belle Vue 1993 being a prime example.

So bring your cash, enjoy the trips to the midlands and if you have time, stop off for a pint of Banks's and some Faggots N Peas before hand ..... or the local speciality ... Chicken Tikka Masala !!!

Anyone that thinks Tai, Scott or Bomber will be the only contenders here are much mistaken. ,,,, Yes they are the top three and rightly so, but around Monmore riders like Josh Auty, Scott Robson, Lewis Bridger and Ben Barker can have outstanding rides there and although they may not end up as Champion, they could wreck the hopes of a few.

Having said that, I wouldn't bet against Bomber around Monmore

What about Danny King, he's always good around Monmore and for me is the dark horse for the title given his form this season. Barker isnt that great around Wolves, so I will be surprised if he gets near the top 3, despite improved form of late.

Love to see Super Si win it but have to go for home-track rider Woffy(if fit) Bomber Nicholls Kingy. Barker and Cookie are on form as well.
