Andy Wilko
More important than how the averages were worked out, or whether rider A would have been above rider B if the sun was shining in April, surely we should be thinking which, if any, of these riders have any hope of lining up for Team GB or representing GB in the GPs at any time in the future. barrow boy
As this is the last time I will be issuing a list in this topic during 2012 I hereby list the top 20 best performing National League riders based on their own personal most current 10 meaningful matches as follows 01-Adam Roynon-Dudley 02-Lewis Blackbird-Mildenhall 03-Tom Perry-Dudley 04-Cameron Heeps-Mildenhall 05-Jason Garrity-Rye House 06-Joe Jacobs-Mildenhall 07-Ashley Morris-Dudley 08-Ashley Birks-Stoke 09-Gary Irving-Scunthorpe 10-Stefan Neilsen-Mildenhall 11-Robert Branford-Buxton 12-Lewis Kerr-King's Lynn 13-Byron Bekker-Dudley 14-James Sargeant-Rye House 15-Paul Starke-Isle Of Wight 16-James Cockle-Stoke 17-Ben Morley-Rye House 18-Daniel Halsey-Mildenhall 19-Tony Atkin-Stoke 20-Jake Knight-King's Lynn Charles Wright & Simon Lambert would have both featured in the top 5 but they did not achieve the 10 meetings required. greyhoundp
Whilst the list seems to be generally a good summary of the riders averages. There is no way Ashley Birks is only seventh best rider, however more worryingly, when you look outside the Top 10 there are several riders who are what i would now term Journeymen, ie they have reached there level, i expect them to be in the same position next season, having been overtaken by the more progressive younger riders. I expect much of the top Ten to push on next season and hold down a PL Team place. Edited November 7, 2012 by greyhoundp
