ivanhoward
Judging by their results this season the Young Stars riders do not appear to be making much progress. Most of them have been around for several seasons and should by now making a move in to the Premier League. What is aim of the Stars promotion? Are they hoping to produce quality young riders for the future? If so, a big shake up is probably required.
greyhoundp
Ivan, if you look through ALL the Teams, you will find most, NOT all, have riders who appear to have stagnated shall we say, and have made little or no progress, I really dont know what the solution is, as there doesnt appear to be enough riders coming through, Scunny have several 1st season prospects, we at The Heathens have one 1st season rider, Mildenhall have i think 2 first season riders, 1 of whom is out now injured for the season. Ideally were the riders coming through there would be a rule where each team had one 1st season rider, but there are not enough around. Something needs to be done, and soon. They have Lewis Rose and Jake Williams waiting in the wings picking up some experience in the JL's. Stagnated no disheartened maybe as you probably ask yourself the question. What for????? Stokes was riding brilliantly at Leiceter in a recent challenge not far off the PL riders and was stopped by the ref from riding in the 'exclusive' PL heats so when you are working against that kind of mentality I'm not surprised they all don't give up. Confidence and motivation can be as much as a factor as ability..

Liamhgk13
How can they progress when there been so many call offs! Elite and prem riders are riding so much more than national league. I think the junior league boys ride more than the national league boys! How's that helping??

Blazeaway
What utter garbage. They've not had a home meeting for nearly three months. I suggest you go forth and multiply Sir.
Parsloes 1928 nearly
They've not had a home meeting for nearly three months. The last third tier (then, Conference) team which went three months without a home fixture ended up WINNING the League - so think on...!! whippy
Would love to see the team race but have not done so since May. No home meetings because of the weather and the away ones rained off too. Give them a break.
em1500uk
Talking of the NL meetings being called off both home and away for our guys, does anyone have an up to date fixture list?
Mimmo
Talking of the NL meetings being called off both home and away for our guys, does anyone have an up to date fixture list? I have asked Dale for one, but there doesn't seen to be a confirmed one as yet, but I'm sure as and when there is, it'll be posted on here. All the uncertainty doesn't make life easy does it, because you can't plan ahead with other things you want to do in life, unless of course the speedway takes second best, then that's a shame. I always try to make the speedway my No 1 priority, but must admit that it's becoming more and more difficult to do so.
rhidassa
How many meetings have been postponed at home, to be re-arranged? I had a look on the site to check, but I don't think it's accurate, aka not including most meetings cancelled.
em1500uk
This is exactly why I never bothered going to the official site to look for a fixture list there, as I didn't think there'd be an up-to-date one on there. Just easier to ask on here to see if anyone knew anything. These are all the outstanding fixtures I have down as 'to be re-arranged': Wed 30th May: Isle Of Wight (H) Wed 13th June: Stoke (H) Sun 1st July: Buxton (A) Wed 8th August: Buxton (H) - moved due to the EL fixture against Eastbourne being placed on this date Wed 22nd August: Rye House (H) - now a reserved date for an EL match in case of rain offs Wed 5th September: Mildenhall (H) - moved due to the EL fixture against Birmingham being placed on this date The NL season for Lynn hasn't really got under way at home this year cos of all the EL rain offs and those fixtures taking precedence. Kinda annoying, but there we go.
