vog
KL gave Stoke a scare to start with, but they had no answer to Lambert and Birks, with Reade only dropping one point. 12 heat winners for Stoke tells its own story.

builderbob
big possabillity he could stay at reserve up to september, the ones that make the rules really need to wake up
Derek 613
big possabillity he could stay at reserve up to september, the ones that make the rules really need to wake up Providing the meeting at Dudley on August 7th then Ben will go up into the team on August 14th. It's got nothing to do with the rules it's more to do with the weather, it's quite right the riders averages change after 3 home 3 away meetings but due to postponements Stoke have not been able to do 3 away league matches. No matter what rules on averages you make if the weather causes problems as it has done this season then it's one of those things. Or Bob are you blaming Stoke controlling the weather at other tracks???
builderbob
as much as i would like to blame stoke no i blame the rules. as you say - providing the meeting at dudley, 14 /08. but if meeting is not run then it could well be into sept. there are only 8 teams which is 7 home 7 away not difficult to see how a season can be nearly over before any change. the bottom tier is where the progression of riders varies the most, that is why it is in the best interest of all the riders and all the teams to have the riders move up as soon as possible
Roger MARTIN
I can remember a team using Jerran Hart at reserve and keeping him there all year a few years ago, which enabled them to win the League, a lot of teams did not like what they were doing, but it was within the law, so nothing stopped them doing it. builderbob
yes you are right jerran did ride at reserve for most of that season, but when he was signed it was to be in the main body of the team. it was the nl organisers that dictated he must ride at reserve
