Will leave it to others to preview the above plus AJDL match between Fen Tiger Cubs and Lakeside Young Hammers.

I'm basically looking for a lift, if possible, from anyone travelling via the Dartford Tunnel. Sunday Brunch or Dinner at the famous (or is it infamous?) Red Lodge on me for anyone who can help. Is that possibly you? PM me if so please.

I am really sorry to see Dan Stoneman has announced his retirement from Speedway , from what is on his Fb page it is purely down to finances, reading just some of his Fb in the past few daays he has had to outlay on his Bike and his Van, and it seems only friday he was trying to get his Van ready. I can understand how he feels, feel so sorry for the guy.

Dan Spike Stoneman Money, condition of the bike, fallen out with my dad big time... Totaly peed right off mate,, it costs way to much money I have seriously had enough now

Dan Spike Stoneman Its just too much money, I would love to carry on with it, I'm getting myself in debt over this sport, I do love it and I will miss it and all my fans, but I do feel now that it is time to retire and call it a day , my equiptment ain't in A1 condition, I just can't keep riding on a shoe string, I am not going to improve with the condition of my equipment not only that its costing me 1000s and its not making 1 bit of difference, it is so hard without sponsorship.. specially for us young riders, I just hope my managers can appreciate this.

Taken from Dan,s Fb page.

Anyways, who do the IOW lined up to replace him for today ?.

get well soon gary, real bad luck.

2 reserves out now, another dissapeared, and some of the main team not doing there bit. where to now for the islanders

Best wishes to Gary, an untidy looking spill that looked fairly innocuous.

Good to see Aaron back, along with Danny Warwick looked quickest of IOW riders. Track looked grippy early on which caught a lot of riders out.

Good overall team performance with top stuff from Cameron, although pick of riders for me was Steffan - sheer quality - fully deserved a Maximum and understandably looked a bit upset with his Captain at the end of Ht 15 which spoilt an otherwise unblemished afternoon.

With team riding the order of the day for the NL pairs next week for me Steffan & Cam look the strongest pairing.

Really? I think Lambert and Birks will have something to say about that! Birks currently riding to a 10 point NL average, and Rambo near on untouchable at Mildenhall...

Quality pair and I am sure others will also stake a claim, Roynon also good value @ West Row. Camo bt Birks twice at Ippo last week and looked quick today & Steffan very sharp. Should be a good meeting and hopefully a good attendance.

Will Lambert be allowed to ride after only 1 match?, in the Premier League Fours Nick Morris wasnt allowed to ride for Scunthorpe (before they withdrew) as he had only rode a couple of meetings?

Dudley will be without Roynon and Morris as Workington have a PL match, No Blackbird for Leicester as they are riding also

No Worrall for Scunthorpe Saints as Newcastle have a fixture

Premier League meetings take preference apart from the NLRC

Anyone know what actually happened to Dan Berwick?

I heard a rumour about that, very surprising if true. Daren't repeat it in case it's untrue!

Actually felt sorry for the lad. He made a decent start in the reserves heat, but seemed to be fighting a losing battle against his bikes. They didn't look capable of doing 4 laps, nevermind 7 lots of 4 laps!

Tricky, grippy, patchy track which proved rather difficult for several of the riders. Even guys like Blackbird (who really needs to work on his interview etiquette!) was finding it tough out there, although things did improve as the meeting went on.

Some decent races though, a bit of mystery, and nice food still made it an enjoyable afternoon. Bit of sunshine, too!

Best wishes to Gary Cottham, who was extremly unlucky. Hope to see him back on a bike soon.

What a strange day! First we lose a reserve to his retirement (I hope whatever you've decided to go forward doing works out for you Dan), then lose another to injury (best wishes Gary), before losing a third after he apparently walked out. I'd love to know what really happened. And that's the second year in a row we've lost our #7 to injury at West Row.

That was our third away meeting this season & with our 4 home meetings, gives averages that I've worked out to be (I read somewhere that you always round down, but I'm not sure. The figures in brackets are home / away):

1. Danny Warwick 8.11 (8.57 / 6.85)

2. Kyle Hughes 6.57 (6.66 / 5.42)

3. Ben Hopwood 6.26 (6.44 / 6.00)

4. Aaron Baseby 5.33 (5.50 / 5.14)

5. Paul Starke 5.15 (5.75 / 4.34)

6. Gary Cottham 4.80 (5.33 / 3.55)

7. Dan Stoneman 3.00 (He's only ridden twice away, otherwise 4.40)

With a team total of 39.22, the injured Gary & retired Dan could be replaced by Marc Owen & a 3.00. Not sure how Owen is though, and the recovery period for a collarbone.

I think it's true isn't it that a previous winner of the CL Pairs did so before he'd ridden a single match for the club he represented..?
