Jacques
That is just not true. Whilst the racing was good tonight, I have seen just as good if not better meetings this year at Poole. And I am sure Panthers fans will stick up for their track as well. Is Wimborne Road up to FIM standard? .....NO
psycho3a
Well that was my first visit to Kings Lynn and was truly amazed.. Free parking in a field outside that was very well organised by the stewards before and after the meeting .. I did make sure I was back to the car quickly after last race though.. Easy access to stadium although basic with fencing to look through to the track is a downer but excellent terraced steps so everyone gets a good view.. And the racing WOW.. Awesome lines inside and outside gave every rider who was brave enough a chance to pass.. Can remember watching a world cup meeting at Peterborough a few years ago that was good and this totally matched it !! Belle Vue next year.. I hope they take lessons from the top tracks as they need to get it right ..

You mentioned the crowd, well it was a decent crowd, would Wimbourne Rd or the EoES have pulled bigger numbers tonight - can't see it. The weather has been a threat and will certainly have adversely affected the turnout, same would have been true of any track. Do you just make it up as you go along with your wild claims, you've seen better racing than that this season, yeh right, course you have. Backless
There is not another race track in the country that could have serve up the quality of racing we saw tonight.. Every rider raves about this track and tonight was a brilliant spectical of speedway racing, as it should be.. Pretty much what the Peterborough fans said, the last time they held the same meeting there.... An excellent meeting on an excellent track. BigFatDave
The crowd tonight was bigger then last year, (I think 8000 was quoted but thats seems high) If they plan to move it somewhere else next year then they'll have a hard act to follow.. I was there last year and I reckon that crowd was a lot bigger. I might even dig out my tape of last year to confirm, but there were many wide open spaces last night where last year there was wall-to-wall people.
dump that clutch
regarding the Harris-Holder incident, IMHO contact was plain to see but i thought it was a controlled 'get off' from Harris, he could have stayed on the machine. I did chuckle when Harris jumped up though, looking like the michelin man with his 'air bag' going off.... Good meeting to watch, the aussies with Darcy in would have walked it, bit concerned with Troy on his peddlo, looked very slow.
foreverblue
Well what a cracker that was, from my point of view you don't get better meetings than world cup meetings for commitment, passion and excitement that you don't get in league meetings maybe some races are better but for overall entertainment the world cup is terrific and for the same price as a league meeting if you bought in advance for more heats, what value. Rayleigh
What a great night of speedway, With all the normal participants deserving credit (Holder and Crump right up there, Bomber on a track that allows various lines, brilliant but inconsistant performances from the other GB riders) but a special mention for Ales Dryml, hands up who thought he would score 15 and it wasnt even a gate and go track. Afterlast night and the GB challange result Belle Vue cant believe thier luck.

michaelcroucher
Great meeting last night. I think that the numbers last year was more because they had to turn people away as there was a big crowd and they had run out of tickets. The car parking was also a nightmare last year. But getting back to last night. The UK boys did well to begin with but seem to lose something half way into the meeting. I have never known a top British rider to have so many break downs and yes I am speaking about Harris. Woffy started off well but didn’t keep the momentum up, as he is also so inconsistent around Kings Lynn so I wasn’t surprised. Nicholls was the top person last for so many reasons. When the guys had a walk around the track before the meeting Nicholls was studying the track and corners when the other guys weren’t even looking. The other team’s worked well together and was all speaking about the track. Getting back to the UK lads. Daniel King was also good last night. One person who I thought was amazing last night and he wasn’t even racing was Ben Barker. He was in the crowd and was also speaking to the spectators. Not only he is good on the track he was a professional last night off the track. I can’t see us getting to the finial again which is a shame but I hope next year we can do it. spanner47
Cracking meeting, as usual this SWC week is delivering the goods. Dont know how they'll decide who gets the final next year, but this place has got to be in with a shout, but i suppose it'll all come down to money, money and money. But at least we'll be in the final next year, wherever it is.

speedybee
What a great meeting! Had me on the edge of my seat or pacing the room most of the night. Hats off to Tatum and Pearson - "love their breathless giddy commentary" as one recent enthusiastic "convert" to speedway texted me at the climax
