Free 2012 World Cup Racecards - Event One - Bydgoszcz

MiniMax Racecard 2012 World Cup EVENT ONE, Bydgoszcz, Poland. (Saturday, 7th, July, 2012)

Once available later in the week you can directly download from the following page.

http://speedway.manc.../racecards.html

As in previous years if there are late, or indeed very late changes, i will update them right up to just before the meeting.

I've re-introduced the colour coded gate draw format due to a lot of email requests on the website. No messing about trying to see small characters and remembering them. Just an instant glance at the card matches up with how you see them line-up on the TV screen, or indeed if a spectator at the track from behind the fence. The various other distinctive formatting features of MiniMax racecards will be included.

Hopefully, as with the GP's, there will be various racecards made available from the usual producers to suit the varied tastes of fans.

Traditional race card for World Cup, M/S Excel will be needed for this one

1. Click link to open (this could take a while depending on which version of Excel you have)

2. With the race card on the screen click on allow editing on bar at top of screen (if there)

3. Now type in the correct riding order and names for each team in the top section of the sheet DONOT change the riders in the heats this will be done automatically

4. Print out race card

This should get round the problem of the final line ups not being announced possibly up 30mins before the start

Oh yes lets make a new topic - so you can be the first - what was wrong with the other thread ????

"So i can be the first"!!!! "Oh My Goodness!!! How absolutely childish.

A new topic??? It's the meeting specific one. It saves people from having to plough through a thread containing general discussion on the whole of the tournament. It enables fans to instantly grab a racecard of their choice from the selection contained within.

As in previous years with the World Cup and Speedway Grand Prix a few days ahead i start a thread letting fans know the MiniMax racecards will be available and then when they are available. As with the GP's other fans who produce racecards have added theirs to the list, quite sensible and streamlined i guess and everyone was (apparently seemingly now with one exception, namely, yourself.) absolutely fine with that.

The fact that i kept the titling of the thread uniform over the years and it consisted merely of racecard sources enabled everyone a single click on the thread to access their card. More times than not it only consists of the one page. No back ploughing through pages and pages of a general World Cup thread to find the racecard of their choice. So in answer to your question that is what is wrong with the thread you refer to.

I'm very surprised you've suddenly taken umbrage and wish to scatter the racecards over several threads. In the same way in our International section we all know that Ghostwalker institgates a weekly Swedish League thread, so we just quickly glance for the uniform title we've been accustomed to and penned by the usual author, so do a lot of fans keep an eye out for the racecard thread.

Oh well if you wish to childishly be the 'FIRST' to start up racecard threads do so, it's to your embarrassment. I'll certainly be carrying on regardless with the SGP and SWC racecard threads as i have done over the years and with the same titling. As it should be, all is cool with me if others drop theirs in to make a list, also all cool if everyone decides to make their own thread, absolutely fine.

Seeing the provisional teams have been announced for the first two meetings i'm just off to start a second thread for the Event Two, so please look away if it's a problem!

To be fair to Danish webmaster the "world cup racecard " thread which was started before yours was the one he was referring to-i think you owe him an apology.

Honest to God's truth Iris, and going back a couple of years or so, it's because we used to get several threads asking if racecards would be available for this event and that event etc. I still get emails, mainly from overseas now, on the website asking if i will be covering meetings and tournaments. Also, there was a year when i was the only one producing a card for the World Cup and the next season there were posts asking if i'd do another one for that current competition.

Additionally, like i say if Danish Webmaster or anyone else wishes to instigate their own racecard specific threads then absolutely fine. I certainly think most fans who use racecards have the source bookmarked anyway. The threads are possibly more likely to attract casual or newcomers to the sport/competition/racecards than those who print-out regularly. Certainly the number of racecards that fly of the servers for the SGP's far exceed the numbers that are shown to visit the actual threads on the forum.

Apology for what? The thread was asking if any racecards would be available during the whole of the World Cup. As i mentioned in my reply above to DW;

Someone started off an Elite League thread for the 2012 season months ago, should all the hundreds of individual match discussions have been placed in that?

FOUR meetings under an "world cup racecard" thread think people would have found it without too much trouble.

R&R think again about that. There's quite a few racecards around now and four meetings. Plus, several of us would be updating the racecards and notifying that new ones are available in the event of injuries, riding order reshuffles etc. Having specific threads for major meetings is how it's always been and worked quick and well be it for racecards or any other specific aspect.

Anyway, there's already signs of off-topic cliques starting to gather, not yourself or DW lol, (an old 'tracker' just appeared on another thread) and i've made clear i'll carry on the quick access same format thread for racecards. If others want to start multiple thread it's truly absoultely fine. I've given the reasons for me continuing as i have done and won't be changing. Ok i hungry off for my dinner.

I am just grateful to the folks who take time trouble and effort to make racecards for the rest of us.

As I see it bandwidth is being wasted in a lot more useless threads than these such as pretty much any EL discussion involving Poole or Coventry or any EL discussion that these people can involve Poole or Coventry which is pretty much all of them

I don't see it as a competition or who is first as I like to check out all the cards for SWC and then pick the one that suits me.

The fact they are available now is fine with me as it gives me time to get one printed out as

I don't have a home printer.

There is enough useless arguing here on the Forum without inventing new ones in this International section which is the one I find myself at more nowadays as the UK racing sections seem to have become more about boring arguments involving Poole or Coventry than speedway.

My suggestion is take a deep breath and worry about something more important......like Poole or Coventry :t::rofl:

Yeah hopefully, after the tiff out of the blue we can all get back to simply giving notice of when racecards are being made available be they the current official provisional line-ups, or the finalized (and then late change through injury etc on the day lol) ones.

I've made the templates and was about to put online the Event One card for those who would like to look at the heat line-ups in advance - bearing in mind the teams can be changed very late indeed.. However, i hear already there is a doubt over one of the Polish riders being able to take part.

I'll hold back a day to see what transpires after the Polish practice session today. As mentioned it's unusual for teams to be announced so far in advance for a meeting, however, they are plastered over the official site and elsewhere for a few days now. Presumably because it's such a major event. So for those who just want a scan of what's what or even a preview peek at the racecards (it's a changed version for me this year due to requests) i'll likely put a provisional one out tomorrow.

I think i`m right in saying that for round one (Bydgoszcz and Kings Lynn) the teams and riding positions are fixed and riders can only be changed on producing a certificate. This changes for the play-off and final where as Danish Webmaster said teams and riding positions are decided no later than 30 minutes after practice finishes.

Imo, there's no need for a new thread

For each new gp or swc event.

Put it all into one thread, call it sgp/swc racecards

and make it a sticky thread. Then everyone knows

where to post racecards and where look for them and thus elimates

the need for new threads for each race card.

After today's practice session Peter Protasiewicz replaces Janusz Kolodziej.

A good idea but still can't see what harm individual threads do.

Every match in the UK seems to get a thread and that's fine so why not multi threads here for the excellent race cards on display?

It just seems someone got into a tizzy because someone posted the race card thread really early because the teams have pretty much been announced.

Considering some of the trivial nonsense that gets posted on the forum as a whole it's pretty small potatoes.

That argument could easily be used in the leagues with one thread for each team but they would get a bit unwieldy and probably sink under their own weight.

I enjoy the International sections and hope they don't end up with the fractional trivial arguments about nothing that the league forums see.

I would rather see the cards early than an hour before the meeting as I have to go to the local library to print one off.

So I say well done to all for getting ready in such good time barring the changes that will probably appear in the next day or two.

Might be a good idea for the people who do cards to leave a blank space in the scorecard so a last minute change can be accomadated by having 5 riders instead of 4 in the score chart part of the race card. the 4 riders and a blank space.

After today's practice session Peter Protasiewicz replaces Janusz Kolodziej.

That seemed to me to be a certainty after JK got hurt. better off with experience than youth. I think the Russians have a chance in this to get to the final. And if we get there from KL the final will be a cracker. a SF with Poland , Oz and the Danes fighting for one spot would be a hell of a run off as well.

Only two days to go so making AVAILABLE AS OF NOW....

PROVISIONAL MiniMax Racecard 2012 World Cup EVENT ONE, Bydgoszcz, Poland. (Saturday, 7th, July, 2012)

You can directly download from the following page. http://speedway.manc.../racecards.html

Official PROVISIONAL line-up racecards.

The World Cup teams although announced well in advance of usual meetings can be subject to very late changes indeed. For those who are curious to see the race match-ups or need to print out the cards outside of their home for example at work, internet cafe, library or educational establishment, i am making them available a day or so before the meeting.

Please note it clearly will be best to leave it until as late as possible when the teams are finally confirmed. As in previous years i will of course make amendments if and when late or very late changes are made public, including right up to the meeting starting.

By popular demand i've reintroduced the colour coded gate draw format. No messing about trying to see small characters and remembering them. Just an instant glance at the card matches up with how you see them line-up on the TV screen and graphics or if a spectator at the track from behind the fence. They match what is visually before you left to right, outside to in, Gate 4, Gate3, Gate2, Gate 1.

The racecard can obviously be printed on both sides of a single sheet or as a match programme style over two sheets.

According to Sportofaktwe all team managers have declined to make any changes to the teams OR riding order following today's practice.

However, as mentioned should any changes occur the card will be amended.
