Matthew Wethers Testimonial 17/08

Recommended Posts

There doesn't seem to be a topic for this one and they have started announcing riders for the event.

No doubt some more knowledgeable on the event can give details etc but the Edinburgh website (http://www.edinburghmonarchs.co/news/article.asp?id=1166) has announced James Grieves will ride as will joe screen and that there is a quiz and disco this Sunday

Just trying to spread the word for one of speedways nice guys

Now here's a rider who acually deserves a testimonial. His loyalty to Edinburgh has to be commended but equally Edinburghs loyalty to Matt has to be too. It's a partnership thats worked well too, 3 league league titles in that 10 years. There not many riders will win 3 league titles in a career at a few clubs either.

It's a little too far for me to travel on the day but I hope it goes well :)

Well done Lioness. A very sporting gesture by a Glasgow Tiger.

Where are the Monarchs when they should be publicising this event for one of their own?

No doubt on the Moan Zone putting down Weegies!

Friday August 17, 2012 is the day that Speedway fans across Scotland and the UK will be given the opportunity to show their appreciation for one of the sports real heroes.

A rider who never gives anything less than 100% when racing for the Monarchs, or as a guest, Matty Wethers is one of the sports most popular characters, with fans and fellow riders.

10 consecutive years with the Monarchs has brought 3 league Championship titles, and this year he celebrates his much deserved testimonial season.

But in all fairness if there is anyone that deserves a good turnout for his service to not only Edinburgh but to Scottish speedway in general it is Matthew Wethers hope he gets the large turnout he deserves and it is a successful night for him testimonials tend to get handed out willy nilly sometimes there is no doubt this one is deserved best off luck for it Matthew
