screm
really great to see the young Danes showing the old boys how to ride speedway. Looking good for Denmark, but dont rule out the Ruskis,Poland looking weak on their own track.
manchesterpaul
The last time that was tried, a few years ago in Leszno, 3 of the 4 teams had riders who became suddenly injured! It made a mockery of the whole thing. I would like to see 22-heat meetings, 5 riders per team, the number 5 having two scheduled rides against the other number 5's, and up to 3 rides maximum as a reserve for other riders in the team. P.S Love your minimax race cards! One presumes a Doctor would have to verify they are truly injured. Possibly have a stipulation of a mandatory 7 day sit out from racing? I fear, if not this year, certainly in the years to come we'll have the awful sight not just three man races but the possibility of TWO man races. Also as the tv commentators mentioned earlier one rider injured damages a team's chances out of all proportion. Thanks for the thanks re racecard. lucifer sam
World Championchip speedway,go hard or go home,Fisher was hard in the first corner thats all. Exactly, it's a World Championship event, so there should be no second chances. You cause a race to be stopped, you should be excluded from it. There was only rider who could be deemed as the cause of the stoppage (Fisher), he should have gone. All the best Rob

manchesterpaul
Why haven't the Yanks replaced Hamill with Greg here? According to Sky studio team because it not the done thing to do and would be too disrespectful!

Don't forget that under the 25-heat 5-rider teams that has been in operation for the last few years, there was no reserve then either! Each of the 5 riders had 5 scheduled rides. So nothing has really changed - we still have no reserves. I'm not saying that's right - it's not - but remember that the reduction in riders from 5 to 4, and the reduction in heats from 25 to 20, is presumably an effort to cut costs by FIM / IMG / BSI (not that they would ever admit it), so the addition of a 5th rider to 4-man teams would defeat the object. SCB
So Hamill was used to show the kids what you can achieve. I'd image the kids will look at how young Ricky Wells is Americans 2nd highest scorer and got taken out of a ride while the old guy was given all his rides despite not really being good enough. Bit of an own goal from the American management.
manchesterpaul
Interesting to see Danish manager nominating Iversen as second highest scorer in deference to Jepsen Jensen. Manager's choice if riders on same points i think. Edited July 7, 2012 by manchesterpaul
