Bomo1
Have to say I enjoyed the Heat 20 commentary from Nigel and Kelvin. Really got the excitement factor just right.
uk_martin
Looking forward to supporting Team GB in Sweden on Thursday and I think that they will get through in Kings Lynn as long as they don't make a mess of things and end up having to decide the last qualifying place against Germany in a Penalty Shoot-Out. screm
Event 2 is far easier to predict than Event 1 IMO,Austrailia will win by as many as they want,GB will be a comfortable second, with the Czechs then the Germans bringing up the rear, though it might not be till the last couple of races where third and fourth are sorted out. HasseHolmqvist
Any weather updates from Lynn? Lynn's still in bed so I asked my teenage son as they seem to know everything and he says " Cloudy & Dry in the evening following light showers in the morning"

blueherb777
Appoligize if mentioned already but why no RESERVE ? If any team loses a rider ,that makes it impossible. GB chances : Tomorrow very slim. Thursday no chance.

Brummie Kev
Poland have called up Krzysztof Buckowski into the side for the race-off on Thursday, replacing Walasek. Buzkowski has apparently been with the Polish team practicing so gets his chance. I do find it a strange selection when you have riders of the calibre of Shamek Pawlicki, Kasprzak or even Zmarslik to call on. http://speedwaygp.co...ked-for-malilla Edited July 8, 2012 by Brummie Kev

Not necessarily-if 6 behind can use tactical/joker in that position.

pandorum
http://www.speedwaygp.com/news/article/1570/swc/hamill-i-earned-those-two Great rider and big on the track and off. Was fortunate enough to see him in his first season at Cradley and it was a pity he did not win that heat as he did indeed work hard for it. The USA team did well to get to the qualifier and it will have Billy did the USA a power of good with his short term comeback. We need the USA and Britain to compete in SWC. Good luck to the Yanks and hopefully we will have something to be proud of on Monday.
redlead
Appoligize if mentioned already but why no RESERVE ? If any team loses a rider ,that makes it impossible. GB chances : Tomorrow very slim. Thursday no chance. The situation with reserves was abused by teams in previous years when reserves could only replace injured riders, riders who were off form were mysteriously with drawing due to injury. But I do agree if a rider is genuinly injured, without a replacement his team is out of the compition.
Cheekee Raylee Monkee
Thought Nigel was gonna self combust there for a minute.... Don't build my hopes up.......... I've been noticing the proliferation of comments regarding tonight's start tarts. Not sure if that is reflection on modern speedway (and a lack of excitement) or a reflection on the frustrated old saddos on this forum!!! Steve Well, if the startline girls are a reflection of the strength of the host speedway team, Monday should see a startline girl line up of: Hilda Baker Irene Handle Rita Webb & Peggy Mount Am I showing my age or what???? Angus Kix Lives
Go to a " decent" hotel here in the UK and look around the foyers....There are plenty of them plying their trade, they are ten a zloty.. Yes, I HAVE been to Coventry... I was merely showing my appreciation for a bunch of youngsters using what they've got to their best advantage - and putting on a great display.....the Russian speedway team and the Polish start girls. I'm sure they're nice, quiet girls - no not the Russians. I've seen THEIR hotels. All in all a very professional display - and if I wanted a cheap floozy I'll know where to ask ;-) Edited July 8, 2012 by Angus Kix Lives
g13webb
Heat 15 Poole V Kings Lynn a few weeks ago. Mind you tonights heat 20 ran it close! NO-WAY .......... Poole's Ht 15 wasn't as good as Lynn's Ht 15, but both of them fell short to that Ht 20 last night. It had everything, with so much at stake. A truely brilliant race..... I thought the format worked well, and contributed to the exciting climax. It was such a pity that someone had to come last ......
