Steve Shovlar
Was that last heat the greatest speedway race of the 21st century? If not I am miffed I missed whichever one was. Heat 15 Poole V Kings Lynn a few weeks ago. Mind you tonights heat 20 ran it close!
JT
Now lets hope the final is decided in the same way and it's with the Brits doing a Russia! And what do the Danes do now? I'd stick with that team, if anyone has to go it's Puk though TBH, the kids did good! Yep, replacing one of the in form riders in the world right now, Demark's top scorer and team captain must be their next move..... Would love it to happen, but I'd be astounded if Britain get anywhere near the final, unless Australia have really bad luck on Monday. We'll easily make the race off as we've had the fortune to have a far easier first round draw, but talent wise we're miles behind Denmark and Poland. Hell, we all know the only reason we have a rider in the GP is because our No.1 has been a charity case for most of his international career. JT. Red Panda
To be honest who ever the other two teams that make the play offs are I think the Poles will be hard pushed to make the final........... RP
Angus Kix Lives
What a wonderful sight, probably one of the best I've ever seen on a speedway track. But enough of the superb Polish start tarts, heat 20 was one of the finest races I've ever been lucky enough to watch. Disappointed that the event didn't go to a decider between the Poilsh girls and their Monster rivals - you could almost hear the hissing and spitting from here. Wonderful speedway, and only the start. Over to you King's Lynn. Edited July 7, 2012 by Angus Kix Lives

My point on replacing Puk was to illustrate that nobody could/should be dropped. MJJ is going nowhere, before the nominates/scorers races he had the same as Puk, swap their scorers races and they'd ahve probably done about the same. Means one of Mikkel or Madsen for the chop and Madsen is one of the top guys in the World this year - he's stepped things up. I guess it'd a choice of Nicki or Mikkel so Nicki probably gets the nod over him but it's damn hard on young Mikkel. As for our chances, 2nd to the Aussies, 3rd in the race off some way off 2nd. I understand where you're coming from, but hasn't Iversen topped the Swedish averages for most of this season? Madsen has been excellent in the Elitserien as well, so his place his safe. As you say, Pedersen for Mikkel Jensen it is. Shame for the 17 year old, but he'll be in it for years to come. As for the Brits in Sweden, Harris hasn't actually been that bad in the Swedish league, averaging around 7 points, but the rest have done very little. Unfortunately I can only see the race off being a head to head between the Danes and Poles, with the odd win for Britain thrown into the mix. JT. Not really, it's a competition is it not. You put your best riders out to win it, do you not? There's no room sentiment in professional sport.. Get Nicki P in and lets see the Poles 'move' over ...

MrMungo
Great start to the SWC. If the next 3 meetings are as good, I'll be happy! Some fine racing tonight, heat 20 was especially special. Perfect way to finish the meeting. Think it shows that sometimes a slick track can provide great races..
T.N.T.
Firstly ....... The tactical ride / sub ride has to be changed in a few ways A team should be EIGHT points behind when they use the joker A team should be allowed to make either a TAC SUB or a TAC RIDE ..... but not at the same time. .... They can use both in a meeting but using two different riders. That off my chest, thought Russia could push for 2nd tonight, but thought Poland would still win .... had it not been for the TAC SUB/RIDE used by Emil, Poland would have won by a point over Denmark with Russia 3rd on 32. ...... (bang went my£10 four fold bet @ 10/1 ) Its a shame Germany were not in this one instead of USA as now Czech or Germany will be last in the race off where as USA would have deserved an extra meeting and made it a better line up Denmark have to bring in Nicki Pedersen now, sadly for Mikkel B Jensen and leave them with their best four riders at present ..... Poland have to bring in Kasprzak for Walasek and both teams will fight it out for the last place in the final with Sweden, Russia and Australia. .... sorry Brits but I cant see anything but a distant 3rd in Mallila. SCB
I think your being very generous, if not optimistic about the race off Really? If we finish 2nd in the first meeting, 3rd should be a given in the race-off as a minimum given that we will have beat the Czechs and the Germans at Lynn, we should be able to beat them in the race-off too. Do you honestly think the Czechs/Germans will be a threat to us in the race-off? Edited July 7, 2012 by SCB
