f-s-p
Â Musielak and Adamczak are also injured plus Dudek is still out I think even me or iris123 can question the absence of either Zmarzlik or Dudek. Dont know about the rest, but it's still a week until the plane leaves. Better watch out for them soaps on the floor...
PHILIPRISING
WAS told by the FIM this morning that all the freight (bikes, etc) left Frankfurt today and that everything seems to be okay and that it will be a great experience for the young riders. Make of that what you will...

My dad was a bit out of pocket in the end though...

As quite often Phil, what are we supposed to make of it?Just a couple of miles from me is one of the biggest freight docks in Europe.Crates and containers are going up,down, left, right and centre all hours of the day.Are we supposed to be thrilled to bits that the FIM have managed to organise what 15 crates on their way to Argentina?Sure it will be a great experience. An expensive one though both in terms of money and time away from school, work and family.Promises made, promises broken......let's hope many things are learnt from this experience on all sides And at the end a dane is standing on top of the podium

Poles seem to think they run World Speedway -- remember their failed stance against the silencers?  "Too far from Warsaw, who do the FIM think they are, trying to make speedway global?"  Of course there's nothing wrong with them. Fully agree that we want to see a Dane on the top step at the end of it all, and the lads who did make the t5rip have a wonderful experience, as well as two fine meetings. Just as there was nothing wrong with Sam Masters when he couldn`t be bothered to go to the Tarnow round.  Start time for the last 2 rounds in Argentina is 21.00 local time-the UK is 4 hours ahead of Argentina so meetings will start at 1am here the following day ! ! Wendy
I thought I read somewhere that any rider missing other than through injury would be fined by FIM. If that's the case, there were always going to be Argentinian riders in the last two meetings, otherwise, why hold it there, so should they be fined for not taking part in the first five rounds? LagutaRacingFan
Fines range from 10k to 100k

Er.........none qualified There was always going to be a meeting wc,just like at the other meetings. And he was always going to be an Argentinian. That is as far as it goes. You can't fine people for not entering a competition, just for pulling out after entering and qualifying.Which is the main problem and one which caused trouble last year in Balakovo for instance. Why one or two of the teams entered knowing that the final was in Balakovo is a good question. Why do riders eneter competitions knowing the next round of the final is in some far flung part of Europe and now South America.....been an ongoing subject here for years.Had a conversation on here with HenryW maybe 5 or more years ago about riders dropping out of UEM competitions and just last yeari was at a meeting where a rider didn't bother to go out for a run-off for a reserve place in the next round because he knew it was too far away for him even if he did make it.That is the problem along with obviously underfunding. Not fining riders because they didn't enter
Wendy
I understand having a wild card, but FOUR? All credit to the 12 riders travelling from Europe, even though only a very few have a chance of success but you have to wonder at the logic - and cost - of staging two out of seven rounds so far away. And also wonder how many riders will enter next year

iris123
As it is one of the riders told me we are now down to about rider no.24 from the quali meetings and then you are asking riders even further down the list to go to Argentina for meetings that they probably have no chance of doing well in and make a big loss.So you can understand why the places are taken by locals.Maybe one or two will be tempted over for a European season.Hopefully they won't just decide to become Italian But it is one thing to ask European qualifiers to go over to Argentina for a long-short trip. But if an Argentinian came to Europe for a qualifier and actually got through he would have to leave school/work for around 5 or 6 months rather than a couple of weeks. Did I read right somewhere that the second CZ rider to Argentina Skurla or something has just started on 500cc this season?

Probably right....was it in the super Zlata Prilba proggie? But he did compete in the 125cc Gold Trophy this year,so i can't see him having much 500cc experience
