Bad news for Mikey. He was progressing with each meeting and more on the pace as he gains experience. He looked quite happy when Doctor Deano said that he thought Mikey wrist was just sprained, stick to racing Deano

Bad day at the office for Buxton as Dudley beat them out of the traps all afternoon.

sorry to hear about michael i know people think i have been hard on him and andrews but all i want as a supporter is a team that winns hope he soon heals and continues his career with buxton iwas told he looked more on the pace on sunday i new we would not beat dudley but if we had the 2010 team now what a meeting that would be come on hitmen you must bounce back i think dudley now look like league winners this year.

Who do you suggest we sign then as there is no one out there prepared to ride for what we can offer??? As for losing interest that is not true but we can only work with what we have got. Feel free to tell us where we are going wrong.

You obviously know about the riders situation since you are making the phone calls, but in my experience there are quite a few riders out there willing to ride for what you can offer, but unfortunately they may not be riders on the averages that you probably need. Those are the ones who are seeing the higher pay rates paid by other clubs which clearly distorts rider availability.

Also there is more to belonging to a club than how much per point and how much per mile you get, and I think that Buxton have always treated their riders well in other respects. The money is important but is not the "be all and end all" of riding in the NL.

I don't know what went wrong on Sunday but the score didn't represent what the Buxton line up can achieve even against a strong Dudley team.

Best wishes to Michael Neale for a speedy recovery.

Considering they are the one team in the League who run on a budget that the League was intended for (development of talent ) ,I think your comments are out of order. If the meetings are entertaining then they have done their bit.Glory seeking at NL level is not what it is about IMO

Save your breath mate, they arent listening, blinkered to the point of being obnoxious.

And Neil77, if you think Roynon is riding for 10 pound a point or a few pounds more you are seriously living in another land.

Roynon shouldnt be anywhere near the NL , and is just robbing the riders that are already struggling financialy.

Nobody is breaking the rules, but soon it will be a league with 2Teams if finances are not taken into account IMO (Dudley v Mildenhall).

Sorry to read that. Hope he's back on a bike soon.

Why do you want to restrict the earning potential of the very riders you claim to want to see progress? Do you think the Poles, the Danes and the Swedes etcetera have people moaning their youngsters are earning too much and should be held back? Would you rather see a relative few young Brits earn a little more than others, and by no means is it just Heathens riders, and have them progress well through the system or do you want to see all young Brits struggle and ultimately fail to progress or give up completely because they can't compete financially?

Dan Stoneman is progressing well this season. He rode very well against the Heathens last week and chipped in with paid 10 last night, but a couple of weeks ago he said this season will have to be his last (already) because he can't afford to keep going unless he can pick up more sponsorship. Now to throw a completely hypothetical scenario at you - if he resigned for the Heathens next season and became one of the riders you seem to think are being overpaid would you be on here saying I wish he'd had to quit instead?

Why? Wolves can't compete with Poole's financial clout, nor can BV or Eastie. Frankly, I doubt any club in the EL can these days. No football club in the Premier League can compete with the top few clubs. You just have to run your club within your budget and try to be as successful as you can.

Why! This Thread was started mainly because some fans were calling for Buxton too strenthen their Team which they are struggling to do due to their pay policy. If these fans desert the club it might fold and in similiar circumstances so might others.Thats why IMO which maybe differs from yours ,so be it.

Do you think fans will walk away and not return due to this one bad result? We had an awful run of results last season. Week after week, with one or two exceptions, in the second half of the season we were comprehensively beaten both home and away. Several times we lost by more than we scored. Nobody walked away because of it, certainly not in any significant number (perhaps there were one or two - who knows?!). You support your team through thick and thin. That's what being a fan is all about. Buxton won the league just two years ago, they're not exactly a club struggling year-on-year to succeed.

The team has been re-declared and Chris Widman steps into the team until Michael is fit again. Since Chris' average from last year is a fraction higher than that of Richard Andrews, Chris will take the No 2 spot and Richard will move down into the reserve berth. From the Mildenhall press release, it looks like Buxton are using R/R for Dean but the real winner could be the weather!!!

Chris Widman is in to replace Michael Neale.

You beat me to it!!

dont know how you lott found out but what will happen when young neale is back will widman or andrews go what has happened to felton

The information was posted on the Mildenhall website this morning and I presume they got the information from Jayne. I do not know why Dean is not riding and as I understand it, Chris is only in until Michael is back to full fitness.
