We all might have our own views of Steady as a speedway rider on the track but you only have to look at the line up for his testimonial to see how highly respected he is amongst his fellow riders.

Any rider who gets Ryan Sullivan to ride in a testimonial is lucky.

On a down note that was very very poor of Troy to pull out & I hope he knew Kenny could ride before he pulled out.

Troy pulling out couldnt be helped, as he had to ride for Prague at Mseno last night :

Thoroughly enjoyed Steady's meeting, good all round entertainment and nice atmosphere especially with that chap on the mike, wish he was there every week. What about Hans? was in a league of his own, hope he uses that bike next week. The crowd made it clear how popular Zagar is, pity he overcooked it to miss out on the final. Doyle was a credit to us too,was a worthy runner up :t:

Very good meeting to celebrate Simons service to speedway. Chris (Mario) Holder's bike packed up before the start and he shared a bike with Darcy for the meeting.

Excellent close racing from the top riders which got better as the track improved, the passing was breathtaking as riders used different lines around the track.

Jason mixed it with the top riders and put in a very good performance.

Matej was welcomed back by the crowd and in heat 19 showed what he could do, despite finishing 2nd to Chris Holder.

In heat 7 Darcy came out on Simons bike and posted the fastest time of the night while having time to look right when passing the pits and making faces, then on the next lap waving. Following this Simons performance improved, he was riding very fast and not locking up.

Hans was on fire and very smooth around the track and deserved to win the meeting.

A big thank you to all the riders who produced excellent racing, and the meeting guy on the mike, can we have him back as he was a riot, especially when he took the p..s out of Rosco for the shirt he was wearing.

Enjoyed the meeting especially helped because Hans won and i sponsored him for the meeting. Great line up was worried while in pits just before the meeting due to the heavy shower but it passed and steady got a well deserved meeting. Hans said he was trying out a new engine well it looks fast round Swindon so lets hope it works next thurs. Hopefully set him up for Cardiff as well.

looked like a good crowd which i was pleased about. Auction was fun with Rosco losing his voice so was helped out. Glad i got the jacket i wanted. Well done Simon sure this adds to the stress but think the day was a great success. Simon really looked to be enjoying his riding which was great to see. Well done to everyone who made the meeting possible

does anyone know who the photographer was at Steady's meeting cause i would like to contact him. This would have been the phographer who took pics woth riders before the meeting.

Thanks

Les Aubrey is the track photographer at Swindon so I would guess it was him.

His email address was on featured match between Swindon & Poole in Speedway Star Xtra Online but to be honest i'm still waiting for a reply from him!

Maybe contact the club to pass on your message to him?

Tigertas, Is it to do with the photos taken at Simons meeting,

Yes as i sponsored a rider he took more than one pic so i would be interested in getting the others from him is i like them. Plus i would like some of the podium as my fav rider won the event.

thanks

Couldn't make it but bro was saying Hansi won it with ease. And there was an avereage crowd, not thousands as the Adver reported? Hope his Ashley H. tuned machine will inspire Simon to good results against Poole on Thursday.

Crowd was obviously affected by the weather but still decent.

Hans did have a very good meeting, looked fast and a deseved winner.

Great to see the Zagarmeister blasting his way past and was very entertaining as was Darcy Ward as well!
