waco
Weather permiting and it looks dodgy at the moment Raiders take on the high riding Fen Tigers after the Rockets match v Ipswich 2pm..its not known at the moment weather Cameron Heeps will be riding..((((shoulder problem)).. If not and hes in the Ipswich team as well,, it would be great if our Ben Morley could guest for Ipswich but i dont know if that would be allowed as hes contracted to Rye .?? .... BigDave1
I agree with Waco If Cameron Heeps is missing for the Witches and they can only replace him with a N.L. guest then the Ippo promotion should be able to use Ben Morley who would be the perfect choice. The only problem would be is that Len would not allow it as he would not like to see young Ben popping out and beating Jason Garrity & Luke Bowen in heat 2. Could clearly cause a lot of Egg on Face looks around the pits afterwards.
refereerick
It certainly would be embarrassing, especially if they sent the wrong riders out in heat
PhilK
Thankfully the weather looks better now for Monday, on the BBC website it suggests rain clearing away first thing. Â Should be an excellent double header and Mildenhall certainly will find The Raiders tough opponents, especially with Joe and Cameron missing. I think Ashley Morris is the guest on monday, not sure what he is like around Rye? Â Hope Uncle Len doesn't go for a too early call off, what with both teams and supporters being fairly local. Parsloes 1928 nearly
The Flat Track Club Championship meeting scheduled for today at Rye House has been called off due to the rain. But as you say forecast better for tomorrow...
adz_mft
Anyone know how much it is to get in for the double header ?
Super Blue
£16 covers both meetings apparently , when I emailed Mr Silver he said he has always made it clear that the 2nd meeting in double headers is effectively free . All very well if one frequents the Rye website which I don't but imo very good value for money ! I hope to be there but won't be wasting fuel or money if there's any doubt in my mind of the likely completion of both meets . I've never been to Rye before so what's parking and facilities like ? Also will the postcode take me right there on sat nav ?  As a side issue , does anyone know why Ash Morris been asked to guest ? lets be honest Heeps has highest average in the NL so Mildenhall could have asked anybody to come in , why choose a 2nd string over a No1? Â Thats the same 2nd string who beat cam last week at monmore, scored 4 paid 7 for ipswich in prem at somerset on friday and would most likely have won the nlrc at this particular track last year if he hadnt been wiped out in his 4th ride, maybe Chris Louis does his homework better than you give him credit for - Ash isnt riding monday but if he had been im sure he would have done a great job for you.

Heathen1984
Ash is one of the form riders in the league and lookin very fast lately. Wud of been a perfect guest. 2nd string, dont make me laugh.
Shadders
I've never been to Rye before so what's parking and facilities like ? Also will the postcode take me right there on sat nav ? Should take you as close as you need to be. Pass the station, Rye pub then turn right into the free car park which should be full by 1:30... You may be able to park in the karting track behind the stadium If they still allow.... Enjoy!! Edited June 3, 2012 by Shadders

As has been said aboveit is not now Ash Morris, but second string! Excellent young rider who performed very well at Mildenhall and Dudley in our NS matches beating Cameron on the way to two very good scores
Super Blue
Im not particularly bothered whether the worlds opinion agrees with mine over Ash being a 2nd string rider or not but when you have the choice of every rider in the NL to replace Cam i would still take a no1 like Roynon or somebody similar . Its a no brainer , when you have the highest average rider injured get the best replacement possible ! I have no doubt Ash would not have let anyone down and hes a very talented kid but i still think my point is valid . Â Â Ash is one of the form riders in the league and lookin very fast lately. Wud of been a perfect guest. 2nd string, dont make me laugh. Â Â Sorry if you got the wrong idea but Ash is not your no1 is he ? Form yes , fast yes but in Mildenhalls position who would you choose as a guest given the entire league to pick from ? Â Â Btw the Witches , my first team are a side made up entirely of 2nd string riders which is precisely the reason they wont win a thing this season ( just getting in 1st before anyone decides to have a pop ) Â Â And thanks Shadders ! Â Ok just out of curiosity who would you have chosen as a guest if you were in Chris Louis shoes? 8 teams in the league take out milldy and stoke obviousley that leaves 6 teams, As far as i can see the only better option than Ash would have been Royno but in all fairness hes so busy with workington, dudley and Coventry he maybe wouldnt have wanted the booking. Steve Worrall and Tom Perry the other 2 possibilities but both on route back from under 21 meetings. So go on tell who would you have chosen? Â As for ipswich i think your being a little unfair - Maybe missing an out and out number 1 but from the bits ive seen this season theres plenty to like, Dakota North and Rohan Tungate in particular are excellent riders. PhilK
As it happens Mildenhall are now using their own asset Aaron Baseby, good to see Aaron back in Fen Tiger colours. Â Should be an interesting and close meeting, certainly no easy ride for the Fen Tigers, hopefully we can pick up a win! Â Will the Raiders line up the same as they did Saturday evening? Super Blue
My choice would have been any proven no1 , however as ive obviously misunderstood the rules on who could be used { ie , the stupid bspa NEG ruling } im a big enough person to take it back ! What the hell is the reasoning behind not being eligable to guest just because youve had a PL average of over 4 ? I mean what difference does it make ? If any riders current average is below the injured riders one he should be allowed to guest imo . But its all about opinions i suppose ! Â I think you've misunderstood the 'not eligible to guest rule'. It applies to PL teams who need a guest for their weaker reserve (say Heeps tomorrow) or when a rider is missing for a reason not being injury, internationals etc (eg. Gathercole had a longtrack meeting so missed Plymouth's home tie on Friday). I'm pretty sure those riders can still guest for other teams in the NL if they want to. Â PhilK where does Baseby fit in? Guest for Heeps & R/R for Jacobs. Good luck if he's in.

Hopefully there will be a few fans from Mildy there to get behind them. Looking foward to it. Â
