So Who Will Be World Champion?

Recommended Posts

Personally i think this is the best gp race for many years so many in the mix. Riders like Gollob and Hampel have not really hit top form at all yet are bang there. Holder had a bad first round but along with Nicki is riding the best at the moment. Hancock is plugging away and like Crump is there or thereabouts every time. In my own mind (and i bloody hate Poole!) im going for Holder as long as he doesnt start to tire like previous years as i think he is riding the best but i still wouldnt rule out Hampel. What does everyone else think?

I would like to see Holder win it he certainly is improving each season .Might be his best chance if his pal Ward joins in next year !!

Got a feeling that Chris Holder really could nick the win, although I am still backing Crump and Sayfutdinov to be battling with him. It really is wide open this year, but my top 5 is:

1st: Holder

2nd: Crump

3rd: Sayfutdinov

4th: Pedersen

5th: Hancock

I said it's between Hampel and Hancock pre-season and I'm sticking with that. Think it cuold even go down to the semis or even the final of the last GP this year as nobody seems to want to dominate, even Nicki when he looked set to do so on Saturday had to throw it away.

As for Crump, would love to see him do it again but he's just not go "it" any more, he still has the track craft and cna pull of the sneaky moves but he won't race through the gaps or put his body on the line any more, it'll cost him too much in the all important semis and finals. You get away with it in the heats as you only tend to get 1, maybe 2 top performers there he has to worry about but by semi time theres 3 or 4 of them willing to ride into him.

even Nicki when he looked set to do so on Saturday had to throw it away.

Surely, in this case, the definition of throwing it away would be to have been first or second and had an incident, not being out of the qualification places and trying his damnedest to get to the final?

I've got as much chance as Hampel.

I would love to see Nicki do it, before the season started I thought he had an outside chance but now IMO he is favourite for the title.

Main reason being he is comfortable with the team he has around him and seems to have that fire back.

start of the season i though Hampel, and even leading into the swedish GP I thought so, but he's just not looking as good as the last two years. At the moment I'd have to say Nicki Pedersen is looking the best rider in the world, so he'd be my pick, but there are still 6 riders with realistic chances.

I'll go:

1 N Pedersen

2 C Holder

3 Crump
