21st century heathen
But hey thats what you will do when you have killed off the national league Have a day off. In 2010 we finished top of the league but only on points scored difference, then got ommered when it mattered most. Last year frankly ended pretty embarrassingly for us, although in the midst of depression we picked up the Fours. If that record is going to "kill off the national league" then there are other clubs that should be in your firing line way ahead of us. shad176
Yes mate you might continue to turn up, but be prepared to go into the next league because you are killing the concept of the develpment league because you blatantly have more money to spend, and its win at all cost or any cost, but hey i bet hes riding for ten pound a point, not.But hey thats what you will do when you have killed off the national league Open your eyes to what the national league is supposed to be about, elite league riders arent needed to take money off the young kids, its a joke end of. Junior a couple of hours ago i returned from watching nathan stoneman riding for mildenhall v dudley at monmore.....how dare this young man take money from premier and elite riders..disgracefull...far too good for this league send him to the gp series NOW . ps........and you..yes you tom young from scunny...your just as bad stop it Edited May 30, 2012 by wembley81

Junior Be prepared to go into the next league? Do you seriously have any idea how flat-out desperate they are even to get a sniff of the next league? The whole concept of running Dudley is to prove to local authorities that the demand is there, to help facilitate finding somewhere they can call their own and move up the ladder. But they're a stand-alone club and there will always be a different thrust to their approach when compared to, for example, Scunthorpe, with a Premier League set-up running alongside. As for Roynon, presumably the target of your Elite League jibe, you, me and the whole world know that what he needs after a devastating series of injuries is time on a bike to rebuild confidence. There's not a Heathens fan around who doesn't want him to disappear at the end of the season, much as they love him -- because that means the job is done and he can make progress. And while we're at it, this year Dudley are running such gnarled veterans as Perry, Morris (both local to the area), Ritchings and Greenwood (the last-named tipped by Roynon as a potential trump card before the season started. How did he know? Because he took the trouble to stay on after the Coventry/Wolves match and watch his Dudley reserve in a series of second-half races instead of clearing off for the long journey home. Roynon, incidentally, has such a lack of commitment to the Heathens that last year, when sidelined by injury, he took in the away match at the Isle of Wight to root for the side. Not a bad effort for someone based in Cumbria). Incidentally, when Dudley have finished killing the concept of the development league other promoters will have to do without the turnstile money from their travelling support. Just a thought. OK, that's me done (and I don't even support them!).

shad176
don,t tell me that young riders dont like riding in front of crowds like this...they love it and it makes them try harder some like to show off a bit too, you only have to look at them to see how up for it they are, if that helps them ride faster and want to do well then that for me is "developement"..you can knock the heathens all you want but they have great fans and love their speedway, they do,nt care if it,s national league its the heathens, in a time when speedway fans are drifting away and crowds dropping the heathens are gaining fans!!!!!!! the only thing killing the national league is miserable sods who cant be arsed to support their team but rather make an atmosphere where people dont want to go..stop being such a bunch of whingers and support your club you never know you might even enjoy it and crack a smile

waco
The heathens are great for the national league ,,their huge support increases the crowd at away meetings so helping to keep the struggling clubs going financialy..the National league does not get the support it needs for clubs to survive..Alright their a strong side but there are strong teams in every league..On the Roynon front good luck to him while the rules allow a rider to compete in 3 leagues hes entitled,,, though personally i would like to see a rule that only allowed a rider to ride in any two leagues...
