JT
this comes from the speedway gp website. What a poor excuse It was the first time Bomber had failed to reach the Gorican rostrum in three SGP appearances there. And the rider admits a poor gate choice and his slick struggles cost him. He said: “I picked the wrong gate for the semi. Nobody told me what the gates were doing really. I thought gate two was working better than it was. I just didn’t move at all at the start. All he had to do was look at the scoreboard directly behind the Monster girls who held the gate cards. Oh dear. As every season passes, a typical Harris season becomes less a genuine challenge for the world title and more an exercise in spin by the media, the organisers and the Harris camp itself to get him yet another wild card for the following season. God knows who he's black mailed, but we're only halfway through 2012 and we've already had a whole manner of excuses in commentary, press releases and Harris interviews for his crap season. So far it's been his bikes fault, poor set up, the slick tracks, his poor gating, the referee and now, his inability to choose a gate. I've lost count of the number of times Pearson has said "You have to feel for Harris", why? He's had an unprecedented number of wild card selections and still can't bloody crack it. Time to bow out, take a year out to re-focus and qualify by right. Sure he won a GP in 2007, but Bjerre, Andersen and Pedersen have all won at least one round before and I can't see anyone calling for their inclusion in 2013. JT.
